00:00It's been over two years since the Galaxy S22 was officially launched, so I think it's
00:06a very good time to re-review it, to make an updated review on this phone, to find out
00:12if right now, in 2024, it is still a viable and usable phone.
00:17As always, we're going to start by talking a little bit about the exterior design, which,
00:22as you can see, is quite similar to the previous model, to the S21, with only a few small shape
00:28differences on the side edges, to make it more ergonomic.
00:31I've already said it many, many times, and I will say it again.
00:36Without a doubt, this is the most beautiful design that Samsung has ever created for one
00:41of their phones.
00:43And it is also the perfect size, because at 6.1 inches, which, funny enough, is the exact
00:49same size of the new iPhone 15s and 14s, it is super comfortable to hold with one or two
00:55hands.
00:56It fits in your pocket, it is not too heavy, it just feels like the right phone size to
01:00use, which is something that you should take into account, because I see a lot of people
01:05that just go buy the more expensive, bigger model, because it has the more features, without
01:09considering that that phone is usually very big, very heavy, and very uncomfortable to
01:14use with only one hand.
01:16So if you're one of those people who spend a bunch of time in the streets, walking around,
01:21you have to take the phone out of your pocket and use it while you're walking, while you're
01:25moving, I think it is a better choice to go for the less pro, less future-packed model,
01:31like the S22, because it's going to be a lot more comfortable to use.
01:37But anyways, let's move on to the internal components.
01:40More specifically, let's talk about the processor, which, of course, is the best processor you
01:46could find on any Android phone two years ago, the Snapdragon 8 Generation 1.
01:52So of course, the speed and fluidity that you're going to feel when using it are as
01:56flagship top tier as it gets.
01:59There's no game that can't be played at maximum settings, there's no application that doesn't
02:03open instantaneously, it is as good as it gets.
02:07In fact, right now in 2024, it doesn't differ that much from what you can see on the current
02:12model on the S24.
02:13I would actually say they both feel almost identical.
02:17The only gripe that I have is that, as many of you know, this processor runs a little
02:22hotter than it should, between two and three extra degrees to be more specific.
02:28And although this is not going to affect performance, and it's not going to be very noticeable when
02:32you have it in your hand, I thought it was something that you should know.
02:36And by the way, speaking of things that you should know, you need to know that the S22
02:43right now has a super, super low price on Amazon.

02:59But anyways, let's move on to the battery, a very positive feature on this phone since,
03:05as you can see in the test, it is as good as the Galaxy S21 and the S20, which were
03:10already very good phones in terms of battery capacity and durability.
03:15Samsung has been working hard for the past couple of years to make the batteries on their
03:18phones not suck.
03:20And I think they've done a pretty good job because not only they don't suck anymore,
03:25but they're also amongst the best batteries in the market right now.
03:28More specifically, it is going to give you between seven to eight hours of use, depending
03:33on the things you do with it, which I believe is more than enough for the majority of people
03:38watching this.
03:39And unless you spend the entire day outside of the house and you spend the entire day
03:44using the phone, you're not going to have any issues with the S22.
03:48But hey, let's talk about the display.
03:51Another very strong point on this phone because in this case, it has everything and everything
03:58is everything.
03:59120 Hertz, 1300 nits of brightness and extremely thin vessels.
04:04The only quote unquote downside of the display on the S22 is that it doesn't have a 1440p
04:12panel.
04:13It's only 1080p, which I mean, for some people, it might be a big deal, but I've had both
04:18phones side by side and I've looked at each other's displays and I can't notice the difference
04:23between 1080 and 1440 because it's a phone.
04:26It is a very small display.
04:28So the number is lower, sure.
04:30But don't let that discourage you.
04:32I mean, it's, it's the same thing.
04:34It looks the same, but anyways, it's time to talk about the most important component
04:39on the S22, the cameras.
04:41As you can see, I'm recording right now with the main sensor and it looks amazing.
04:46As you can see, there's a lot of bulk effect, dynamic ranges through the roof, detail colors.
04:52It is like in terms of bang for the buck, this is unreal because it's almost identical
04:58to the quality of an S23 or S24, but the price is less than half of those phones.
05:04So if you wanted a very good camera for a little price, this is, this is a very good
05:09deal.
05:10Specifically, we get three cameras on the back.
05:12We get a main sensor with 50 megapixels, which is the one you're looking at right now.
05:16And then we get a 10 megapixel zoom camera and a 12 megapixel ultra wide.

08:02So conclusion is the Galaxy S24 worth it in 2024?
08:08Well yes, it is.
08:09It is very worth it because for the most part, it packs flagship to your phone features for
08:14what as I said earlier, is like a mid to low end to your phone price.
08:20So bank for the buck wise, it is incredible.
