00:41Obviously Uber at the peak, and obviously Springsteen were at his peak.

00:48I continued to the Mojo in the 60s, back along the St. Phyllis Place.
00:54Absolutely tremendous night. That was like a Tina Turner reveal.
00:59And other than that, all these stories here at the City Hall.

01:17Without doubt, The Beatles at the Students' Union.
01:21Q. What year was that?
01:23That was in 1962, I would think.
01:29Q. What were your biggest memories of it?
01:31It was the crowds and the girls and everybody going mad.
01:35And that was before they became really famous.
01:39And they came back a year later and played again.
01:42And we saw them again, and it was absolutely massive.
01:44And I had my picture taken with my brother in the Sheffield Star.
01:48Q. Where was the Students' Union at that time? Was it still where it is now?
01:51It was, yes, by the main university, going up Weston Bank.
02:00It was Weston Bank, that's right.
02:02There was only one university then.
02:04There was no Hallam University.
02:06That was a technical college.

02:12So, I think it was Andrew Liu and the Utilita Arena.
02:15Last summer, I can't remember when it was exactly,
02:17but that was definitely the best one I've ever seen.

02:21The type of music he played was just a bit extraordinary.
02:25It was a mixture of classical music, but at the same time,
02:27it was a bit newer in that sense.

02:33It was actually last Friday, and it was at Upper Chapel.
02:36Not a gig, maybe, but it was some classical music.
02:41And the setting, on a lovely evening, just made it very memorable.
