00:00Sunday saw the first North East Derby of the Women's Championship season as Newcastle United welcomed Durham to Kingston Park, knowing they could leapfrog them with victory.
00:10Newcastle created several openings in the first half with Alicia Boddy, Rachel Furness and Amber Keegan-Stobbs all going close.
00:17When Durham fashioned a chance of their own, Claudia Moan was able to impressively block an effort from close range.
00:24Into the second half and it was Newcastle who kept on probing, although Durham were also latching on to Newcastle mistakes when they could.
00:32Ultimately though, a lapse in concentration from Newcastle at the death saw Molly Lambert turn home a rebound from a tight angle to break Newcastle hearts but send Durham fans wild.
00:43Despite the loss, Newcastle manager Becky Langley was pleased with her side's performance.

00:55I think it's small margins and we just haven't finished our chance today.
