00:00Let's go to the nightcap in New York between the Yankees and the Royals.
00:07The Yankees rallying multiple times in game number one on Saturday evening.
00:11Alex Verdugo, the game winning RBI in the seventh.
00:15The Yankees come back to win six to five.
00:18And yesterday, Joe, with Carlos Rodon on the bump against Cole Regans, the all-star 4KC.
00:24The Yanks were nearly a dollar and a half favorite.
00:27Rodon was great in the opening two innings, but from there, a different story.
00:33KC Evans, the American League Division Series at one game apiece with a 4-2 victory in game
00:40number two.
00:41All four runs plated by KC in the top of the fourth against Rodon.
00:46The veteran, the experienced Salvador Perez got it started in the fourth with a solo shot
00:52and then plenty of small ball and base knocks from there to score three more runs.
00:57And the Yankees really couldn't muster much against Regans or anybody in that Kansas City
01:03bullpen.
01:04Jazz Chisholm didn't hit a home run late in the game for the second run for the Yanks,
01:10but it was all KC last night in the Bronx, 4-2 the win as an underdog in game two.
01:16We're tied in the game all as we head to Kansas City and Kauffman Stadium tomorrow.
01:21Yeah, I mean, listen, give credit to both lineups.
01:27The Yankees made Regan's work big time in that game, more so than he has.
01:31I mean, he had a ton of walks in that game.
01:34They took a ton of pitches.
01:35I mean, he had almost 90 pitches, I think, and by the fourth inning, they did exactly
01:40what they were supposed to do, except they went one for six with runners in scoring position.
01:45They're now three for 19 in these two games here with runners in scoring position, that
01:50being the Yankees.
01:51And the difference was that the Royals got the hits when they needed, when they had Rodon
01:57on the ropes.
01:58Rodon could not make a pitch to get out of the inning.
02:02Regans did.
02:03And that was the difference in the game, that one inning, because both bullpens came in
02:08and outside of that solo home run there that they gave up to Chisholm in the ninth inning,
02:14that bullpen was phenomenal, and so were the Yankees.
02:16They used seven relievers, didn't give up a run after that.
02:20But you can't go three of 19 in two games with runners in scoring position, Yankees,
02:26and think you're just going to sweep this Royals team, whose best player has still been
02:31MIA.
02:32He still has not had a good series.
02:35It's all the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth hitters that are getting it done for the Royals.
02:40And where are you?
02:42Where are you, Judge?
02:43Where are you, Soto?
02:44Where are you guys?
