00:06This blaze broke out on Sunday morning, just after 7am, right here at Bayside Court, which
00:11is in the Redlands suburb of Thornside.
00:14Now, firefighters managed to contain the blaze after just an hour, but that's when they made
00:18the grim discovery of the body of an 8-year-old girl who had been inside the home at the time.
00:23Now, yesterday afternoon, police then confirmed that they had found a second body, which is
00:28believed to be that of a 31-year-old woman who was babysitting the young girl at the
00:33time while her parents had been away interstate.
00:36So post-mortem examinations are currently underway to confirm those identities, but
00:42as you can see, tributes have already started to be laid.
00:44There have been flowers, toys, and even cards that have written, it takes a village to raise
00:49a child, we're so sorry we let you down.
00:51Now, in a statement that's also been issued by the girls' school, her school principal
00:55has said that Raven was a precious part of the school community, they've also said that
01:00her brightly coloured ribbons will forever set her apart, and will be a reminder of what
01:04a precious gift she was.
01:06Now, this still remains a very active investigation, detectives today are going to be looking into
01:12what exactly caused this blaze, and they're yet to rule it out as non-suspicious.
01:16Now, there has been an investigation centre that has been set up at the Bayside Child
01:21Protection and Investigation Unit.
01:23It's working in conjunction with the State's Homicide Squad, as well as the Criminal Investigation
