00:00This is the type of indictment you would expect from someone in the mafia.
00:03I don't know that I could keep him off the stand.
00:05He is very eager to tell his story.
00:08They're going to show that video over and over and over
00:11about what happens to women that won't change their stories.
00:15His reputation is over.
00:17The United States government, they start making this case
00:20as a takedown of a successful black man.
00:24TMZ presents The Downfall of Diddy, The Indictment, now streaming on Tubi.
00:30The Downfall of Diddy
00:32Tony, you said last week at the news conference
00:35that you would begin filing lawsuits as early as this week.
00:41Do you have plans to do so?
00:44And do they involve celebrities?
00:46Do they involve just Diddy?
00:48People beyond Diddy?
00:50I think I'll let the lawsuits speak for themselves.
00:52I don't expect there to be anything, you know,
00:55everyone's focused on what other celebrities were involved.
00:59Who's going to be named?
01:00Who's going to be outed?
01:01I don't expect that to happen this week.
01:03I'm hoping to file some lawsuits this week.
01:06They, of course, will include Mr. Combs and some corporate entities.
01:11But we want to make sure that, you know,
01:13if we name individuals beyond Mr. Combs,
01:17that we make sure that we've done our homework
01:19because it's going to create a firestorm.
01:21We understand that.
01:22So we're going to make sure that we dot our I's and cross our T's.
01:27Tony, you said something interesting there.
01:29I don't expect that to happen this week.
01:32So that sounds like there could be other people named,
01:36other famous people named down the road.
01:39I know you said this is going to be a process
01:42over the next 30 days of filing these lawsuits.
01:44So are you saying not this week,
01:46but maybe in the weeks coming after this one?
01:50I would expect so.
01:51I really don't want to get into a situation where people are,
01:54you know, if I don't file a lawsuit next week,
01:57then, you know, that creates a media frenzy.
02:00The truth is, I want to be clear about something.
02:04If you were attending one of these parties,
02:09if you will, and you attended before
02:11or you knew what was going to happen,
02:12that is, you knew that a particular drug was being used
02:16and drinks that was causing people to be coerced
02:21and taken advantage of and you were there in the room
02:23or you participated or you watched it happen
02:26and didn't say anything
02:27or you helped cover it up,
02:29in my view, you have a problem.
02:32And as we file each one of these cases,
02:35we're going to make an effort to resolve them on the front end.
02:38But failing that, we're going to file public lawsuits
02:42and pursue these cases aggressively.
02:45So who will be named, when they will be named,
02:48all that will come out in due course.
02:51But the bottom line is, you know,
02:52I want to be clear about the scope of this.
02:55A lot of people attended these parties.
02:58A lot of people saw this activity going on.
03:01A lot of people allowed it to go on,
03:05said nothing, didn't intervene,
03:07maybe benefited from it, profited from it.
03:10All of these individuals and entities,
03:12in my view, have exposure here.
03:14Are we talking about celebrities on the level of Diddy?
03:17I would expect so, yes.
03:19Have you sent any demand letters out
03:22to anybody other than Diddy saying,
03:28here's what you've done, we want to settle with you,
03:30or we're going to file a lawsuit.
03:32Have you sent any to, say, other celebrities beyond Diddy?
03:36We have, and I want to explain that process
03:38because it's important.
03:40You know, in every single case,
03:41especially cases like this,
03:44we collect our data, collect our evidence,
03:46do our due diligence, spend time with the victim.
03:50And then, because it's in the best interest of the victim,
03:53we attempt to resolve these matters
03:55without the filing of a public lawsuit.
03:58And we have done that already.
04:00We've done that, I would say,
04:01with a handful of individuals,
04:03many of which you've heard of before,
04:06and we'll continue to do that.
04:07That's just the standard process
04:09that every lawyer in the United States
04:11who handles these types of cases uses
04:13because it's the right way to do it.
04:15But there are also people
04:17who want to jump on the gravy train
04:20and want to make money.
04:21And that's got to be a big slice
04:24of what you're getting.
04:26I mean, it's not just automatically believing somebody
04:29because they say it.
04:30No, I think, Harvey, I think you're right.
04:32You know, I was born at night,
04:33but I wasn't born last night.
04:35You know, you get 3,200 calls
04:37and that turns into 100 some odd clients.
04:40I think you see the process that we're involved in.
04:42We're doing a lot of vetting,
04:44a lot of due diligence.
