00:00Liverpool made it 6 wins out of 7 in the Premier League over the weekend as they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at Selhurst Park to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table.
00:11It was Diego Jota's sole goal that earned Liverpool all 3 points and it was his 4th goal of the season in all competitions as he continued his streak as Liverpool's main man at the top of the pitch.
00:23While he did score the only goal of the game, he could have scored at least 2 more. He had one great chance with his head from a brilliant Trent Alexander-Arnold free kick.
00:31Another cross was fired in low from the right back which Jota just couldn't get on target so Liverpool could have been way out of sight before the second half but Liverpool still managed to hold on and get all 3 points.
00:44His record now stands at 65 goal contributions in 100 starts in all competitions which is certainly a brilliant return from the striker who cost £45m in 2020.
00:55Not only was it another victory, it was another clean sheet which now makes 5 in the league so far this season which is a record.
01:02Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konati have been sensational at the back as has Alisson, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold as well.
01:10The back 4 have been brilliant so far and have formed the foundation of Liverpool's victories.
01:16Slott will be over the moon with how his defence has performed so far and the Van Dijk-Konati partnership is looking like the strongest in the Premier League at the moment.
01:26The only issue for Liverpool from the game at the weekend was that Alisson Becker was forced to come off with what looks like a hamstring injury again.
01:33He was replaced by 23-year-old Wladyslaw Jaros who actually made his competitive debut for Liverpool which was a huge boost for him.
01:40But for Liverpool it is a worry that their number 1 keeper will now be absent for at least a few weeks according to Slott and he could miss quite a few key games in that period.
01:49Slott confirmed that he doesn't expect Alisson to come back before the international break in November and it means that he could be at risk of missing the Chelsea game, the RB Leipzig game, Arsenal, Brighton, Leverkusen and Aston Villa.
02:04That set of fixtures is going to be a huge test for Liverpool having been really strong so far across the season but having not really faced any real tough tests and the games against Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen are all going to be really difficult tasks for Slott and without their number 1 keeper it could be an even tougher task.
