Microsoft Copilot is a text-based generative AI tool that can do various tasks. In this course, you will learn how to write prompts, generate content, generate codes and utilise its powerful features in the web version of Microsoft Copilot.

In this video lesson, we will learn about Generating Excel Sheets in Microsoft Copilot.

00:00So using Microsoft Copilot, what you can also do is you can go around and generate Microsoft
00:10Excel sheets.
00:12So to do that, you can simply go around and type in this prompt.
00:15So you can simply go around and say, generate an Excel sheet of a result template of a high
00:25school student, right here, just like this.
00:28So once I go around and do that, then what happens is that it simply goes around and
00:33then generates out an Excel sheet for me.
00:36So you can see that it says, sure, here's a template of a high school student result
00:41in Excel right here.
00:43So this is what you have, as you can see, just like this.
00:46So now you can even see that I can go around and click on edit in Excel right here, just
00:52like this.
00:53So now if I were to go around and click on edit in Excel right here, just like this,
00:58then what happens is that it goes ahead and exports out the Excel sheet right here and
01:04opens it up in Microsoft Excel online.
01:08So if I were to go around over here, I can also, let's say for example, type in this.
01:13So I can go around and say, instead of giving me formula like this, give me a visual basic
01:30code that I can run in Microsoft Excel as a module for making this template right here,
01:41just like this.
01:42So if I were to go around and do that, then what happens is that it starts giving me the
01:47visual basic code that I can run, just like this.
01:50So it uses the same template right here, as you can see, just like this, and then generates
01:55out a code right here, just like this.
01:59So now you can see that it goes around and adds in the formula for me right here, just
02:04like this as well, that I can simply go around and run it.
02:08So you got to wait for a while right here, just like this.
02:12So let's just go around and you can see that it's also running out the formatting and everything.
02:17So if I were to go around and copy this out, I can go around onto Excel right here and
02:23then go to developer mode.
02:24If the developer mode is not turned on yet, then simply right click onto the ribbon area
02:29and then go to customize the ribbon section right here.
02:32Then you can turn on the developer mode from over here, if it is not already turned on
02:38and then press OK.
02:39So once you go ahead and do that, you need to go around onto visual basic right here
02:44and then go around onto insert and then click on module and paste around the formula right
02:49here.
02:50So once you go ahead and do that, you can go around and run this particular code.
02:55And then what happens is that this is what you have, as you can see right here.
02:59So it added in the student information, the marks right here, just like this and the summary
03:04as well.
03:06And all of it right here also has, let's say, for example, formula right here, just like
03:12this.
03:13So if I were to go around onto marks right here, just like this, you can go around and
03:16change around the marks right here, then it changes it out as all the formulas has been
03:22added in.
03:23And that is how you can go around and generate Excel sheets by using Microsoft Copilot.
