00:00Jalapeno popper chowder is creamy, slightly spicy,
00:03and exploding with flavor.
00:04Oh my God.
00:05This comforting pot of soup starts by cooking off
00:0712 slices of chopped bacon until crispy
00:10and then set them aside.
00:11Add in a little butter to the drippings
00:12and cook your onion and your jalapenos
00:14until they're tender and lightly browned.
00:16Then go in with your potatoes, chicken broth,
00:18milk, salt, rosemary, garlic powder, paprika,
00:22oregano, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
00:24Bring that mixture to a boil and cook them
00:26until the potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
00:28Reduce the heat to medium low
00:30and stir in softened cream cheese, heavy cream,
00:32and bacon until all that cheese is nice and melted.
00:35Keep the heat low and add in sharp white cheddar cheese.
00:38If the soup starts to get too thick,
00:39you can add in a little more broth or cream.
00:41Then just finish it off with a little bit of freshness
00:43from parsley and green onion and serve it up.
00:45That is a comforting bowl full of so much flavor.
00:49One of the best chowders I've ever made or had.
