Thai authorities and conservationists are working to rescue over 100 elephants and other animals, after flash floods hit Chiang Mai province on Friday (Oct 4).

Deputy Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai said an operation is underway to save them.

01:11She said the last elephant ran slower than the rest of the herd because she was blind.
01:21Northern Thailand has faced severe flooding since August, causing 49 deaths and displacing
01:27thousands of households.
