00:00Hey, it's Vanessa Williams, and you're watching Life Minute TV.
00:03We're about to start our London run of Devil Wears Prada.
00:11We just finished in Plymouth, UK, out of town.
00:14And Pamela did my wardrobe for the show.
00:25You have to love what you do.
00:26You need really good preparation to take care of your body and your voice, particularly,
00:31because you've got to sing and perform eight shows a week, so don't overdo it.
00:35I don't do a lot of talking when I don't have to.
00:37I train. Your voice is a muscle. You have to take care of it.
00:40So that's kind of what I do.
00:46Always bring a scarf. I always have a scarf because it gets so cold on the plane.
00:50I usually do a jacket with some kind of layering thing underneath it.
00:54And pants that have a loose waistband that are comfy.
00:58Depends on the season. Wintertime, I like an old-fashioned.
01:01It's kind of warm and cinnamon-y, you know, with the bourbon.
01:05Summertime, it could be anything from a gin and tonic with lots of lime, Aperol Spritz, Negroni.
01:11I think it depends on what I'm eating, how good the mixologist is, and what they recommend.
01:18Usually, I either have a drink and get a meal with anyone that's coming to see me.
01:22It's nice to kind of touch base and see good friends.
