00:00The Intelligent Buffalo
00:09Once upon a time in a small village, there lived a farmer named Edgar.
00:15He lived in a small house and owned a small piece of land.
00:20Edgar had a buffalo named Bounty.
00:24It was an uncommon name but it came with its own reasons.
00:29You see, Edgar was a very poor man before he found his buffalo.
00:35Bounty worked really hard for his humans.
00:39Being the only buffalo, he would plow the whole field day in and day out
00:46and help Edgar with all sort of work.
00:49Edgar began to grow all sorts of grains in his field.
00:54Edgar gained a lot of respect in his neighborhood.
00:58Given the bountiful he received, he named his beloved buffalo Bounty.
01:05Bounty was a special buffalo.
01:10He was intelligent and always full of life.
01:14Edgar knew that Bounty was a free-spirited animal.
01:18He would often wander around when there was no work and come back home in the evening.
01:24As time passed, Edgar bought another buffalo.
01:29He loved Bounty dearly but he also realized that the workload was too much
01:35and was needed to be shared.
01:38Edgar didn't want to tire his animal.
01:41One day while plowing the field, Bounty sat midway and began to breathe heavily.
01:49Moo!
01:54Moo!
01:59Ah, Bounty!
02:01Edgar took both his buffalos back home.
02:04That night, Edgar could not sleep at all.
02:08He knew it was time to let Bounty go.
02:11The next day, he took Bounty to the forest and took the bell off his collar.
02:17Bounty happily shook his head.
02:20Bounty, you are a good buffalo.
02:24I will never be able to repay your debt.
02:27You don't have to work anymore.
02:30You are free now.
02:32I will always miss you, my friend.
02:35Go wander and explore the lands.
02:39Moo!
02:42Don't make me cry now.
02:45You can come home anytime you want.
02:48You know the way.
02:50Moo!
02:52Bounty was sad to leave his human but he was also excited to see what lay ahead.
02:58He walked merrily enjoying the fresh breeze.
03:01He roamed around in the forest with no fear.
03:05He drank water from streams and ate grass on the way.
03:09Soon, the sun began to set.
03:11It was getting dark.
03:13Bounty looked around for a safe place to rest.
03:16And there it was.
03:18That cave is right near the pond.
03:22Moo la la!
03:25This place is huge.
03:27It's pretty warm, too.
03:29Perfect for me to stay.
03:31Oh, boy!
03:34Am I tired or what?
03:36This whole wandering is going to make me slim like a giraffe.
03:41Bounty began to live in the cave.
03:44He would drink fresh water from the pond,
03:47graze nearby and sleep peacefully inside.
03:51Days passed and Bounty began to love his life in the forest.
03:57But being a domestic buffalo, Bounty was a simple and innocent animal.
04:03He wasn't aware that the forest was home to many animals.
04:07And not all of them were as innocent as he was.
04:11While Bounty happily carried on with his new life,
04:15there was someone who was keeping a watch on the buffalo,
04:19Timmy the Fox.
04:22Each day as Bounty left his cave to wander around,
04:26Timmy would tiptoe behind him everywhere.
04:29Bounty was always so engrossed in his day-to-day activities.
04:34He never felt Timmy's presence around.
04:37Hmm.
04:39This buffalo is pretty brave to roam around the forest all by himself.
04:45Well, either he is too brave or too stupid.
04:50I mean, does he even know whose cave he's living in?
04:55Let's have some fun.
04:58Well, hello, Timmy.
05:01Let's have some fun.
05:04Well, hello.
05:06Are you new here?
05:09I came to graze here every day now.
05:12I wouldn't call myself new.
05:15Oh, you are a witty little animal.
05:20A fox calling a buffalo little is witty indeed.
05:25How dare you make fun of me?
05:28I am the king of the forest.
05:30This is my cave you are living in.
05:33All the animals are at my mercy here.
05:37If you want to live, you will have to bow down to me.
05:44You are right.
05:45I am new here.
05:47But that doesn't mean I am stupid to believe everything you say.
05:51Listen, Fox.
05:53I know you are not king of this forest.
05:56In fact, I am sure you don't even know how big this forest is.
06:01I suggest you stop wasting my time.
06:06Timmy was seething inside.
06:09He shivered with anger.
06:11He swore that one day he will seek revenge for his insult.
06:15Bounty, on the other hand, realized that he will have to be more cautious now.
06:21That cunning fox knows where I live.
06:24That means he is keeping a watch on me?
06:27Hmm.
06:28Also, I don't think about this before.
06:31But that cave must belong to somebody.
06:34What will I do once the rightful owner of that cave comes back?
06:39I will have to be more careful around here.
06:43That night, the moon shone brightly in the sky.
06:47As Bounty lay down inside the cave, he heard something.
06:52He peeped through a small hole and saw a strange shadow outside.
06:57First, he thought that the fox is back to trouble him again.
07:01But as the figure came closer, Bounty shivered with fear.
07:05It was the rightful owner, the tiger.
07:09Oh, no.
07:11Of course this cave belongs to the tiger.
07:14What do I do now?
07:16He will eat me up.
07:18As the tiger kept coming closer, Bounty could not stop shivering.
07:25Wait.
07:26Wait.
07:27Think clearly.
07:29Calm down.
07:33Aha!
07:34I can see him, but he can't see me.
07:37That's my advantage.
07:42Here he comes.
07:45Huh?
07:48Shh.
07:49What is wrong with you?
07:51He will hear us.
07:53All right.
07:54Sorry.
07:55But look how delicious he looks.
07:57Didn't I tell you the one who lives here is big enough for both of us to eat?
08:03All right.
08:04You were right.
08:06Our dinner for today is sorted.
08:10Absolutely.
08:13It was the tiger's turn to shiver with fear.
08:17Who?
08:18Who are these animals?
08:22Why did he stop?
08:23This is taking too long, and I am too hungry.
08:26Why don't we go out and attack him instead?
08:29He can't fight both of us.
08:35The trick worked.
08:37Without another thought, Tiger leapt across the forest.
08:40Bounty was relieved.
08:42He now knew the importance of keeping calm in any given situation.
08:48The next day, as Timmy was loitering in the forest,
08:52he bumped into the tiger.
09:00You scared me.
09:02Scared?
09:04Wait, I scared you?
09:06But you're a tiger.
09:09Yeah, yeah, I know.
09:11I am the big cat of the jungle.
09:14But you are a fool if you think there are no bigger and scarier animals than me here.
09:22I ran into two of those last night.
09:25They have captured my cave.
09:27I will have to look for a new den.
09:30Wait, what?
09:32The one living in your cave is bigger and scarier than you are?
09:37Are you kidding me?
09:39It was a buffalo.
09:41And what do you mean, two?
09:44There is only one buffalo living in there.
09:47You think I am a fool to run away from a buffalo?
09:52There are two huge beings in there.
09:56Beings?
09:59Yeah, I don't really know who or what they are.
10:03I didn't enter the cave.
10:05Just heard their voices.
10:07They were going to attack me.
10:09I ran away before they could.
10:13You poor tiger.
10:15He played you.
10:17There is no being in there.
10:19It's a buffalo.
10:21I am keeping a watch on him ever since he set his foot in this forest.
10:27Shut up, fox.
10:29How dare you insult me.
10:31You think I am stupid to mistake a buffalo for a scary animal?
10:37I can prove it to you.
10:39You are not his prey.
10:41He is your prey.
10:44Let's do one thing.
10:46I will come with you.
10:48We will enter that cave and I will help you capture whoever is inside.
10:53I want to settle a score with that arrogant buffalo anyway.
10:58But, in return for your cave, I want you to promise that you will never attack me.
11:07Hmm.
11:08Are you telling the truth?
11:10But wait.
11:11What if you run away, leaving me behind?
11:15Um, I know.
11:18Let's tie a rope around ourselves.
11:21One end to your stomach and the other to mine.
11:25That way, you can pull me back if I try to run.
11:29Deal?
11:30The tiger agreed.
11:32They both tied a rope around themselves and began to walk towards the cave.
11:37Fox was happy.
11:39He had found a way to do both.
11:42Teach Bounty a lesson and earn trust of the tiger.
11:46As they approached the cave, Bounty saw them coming.
11:50As soon as he saw the fox, he understood what was going on.
11:56Hmm.
11:58He thinks he is smart?
12:01Now, let me handle this, okay?
12:03Enter the cave only when I ask you to.
12:08You stupid fox!
12:11I asked you to bring me two tigers and you bring me only one?
12:17Huh?
12:19What?
12:21We haven't eaten anything since last night and now you want us both to share one tiger between us?
12:30Hmm.
12:31You work for them?
12:33No, no, no.
12:35This is not true.
12:37Ah, you are good for nothing.
12:39Fine.
12:40Bring him here now.
12:42No!
12:46Tiger leapt for his life.
12:48He was so scared that he didn't care about Timmy who was tied to the other end of the rope.
12:54Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow.
12:56This hurts.
12:58Ha, ha, ha, ha.
13:00This will teach that fox.
13:02I have learnt a very important lesson today.
13:05Had I not kept myself calm, I could not have been able to chase those two away.
13:11No matter how difficult the situation gets, we must always stay calm.
13:17Bounty was right.
13:19Only because he stayed calm in every difficult situation was he able to help himself.
13:27And as for the fox...
13:29Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow.
13:31No!
13:35He must have learnt his lesson too.
