00:00Welcome to Fan Questions at NCIS Los Angeles.
00:05Welcome.
00:06Todd? LL? Can I call you LL? Can I call you Todd?
00:10Yeah, call me, call me, call me, uh...
00:12Why don't you start?
00:15This is a tough one.
00:16Yeah, call me, why don't you start?
00:18Alright, hashtag ask NCIS LA, do you guys do your own stunts?
00:22The answer is yes.
00:25I do 90% of my stunts.
00:26We're supposed to be honest when we answer questions.
00:28Chris does about 15% of his stunts.
00:31Can I with a straight face really say this?
00:33Absolutely, absolutely.
00:35Okay, I've got some behind the scenes photos that I will send out later on my Twitter feed.
00:39Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:40He has done some stunts, I'll say that.
00:45My question is will Callan ever find out his first name?
00:48I hope to God he finds out his first name.
00:50He has been G, but I think even if I found out my first name, I think that Sam will still continue to call him G.
00:57Instead of B, he's got G.
00:58He's got G.
00:59He'll be.
01:00It's your inner Flavor Flav. We're tapping into his inner Flavor Flav.
01:03We are.
01:04Calling him G.
01:05Exactly.
01:08Do you really know how to make origami out of candy wrappers?
01:12That's funny. That's pretty funny.
01:15Let's start with the paper airplane.
01:17That was a music segue right there.
01:19Oh, I can't even make a paper airplane, right?
01:24I probably can.
01:25That was the first time we did that.
01:27It's been a long time since I tried to make a paper airplane.
01:29It was a Tootsie Pop episode, wasn't it?
01:30Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:31It was actually a long time ago.
01:33About 18 Tootsie Pops in a day when we were filming that.
01:36It's been a long time.
01:37Is this your airplane?
01:38Yeah, this will probably get airborne.
01:40You don't think so?
01:41Yeah, I think there's a good chance this is going to fly away.
01:42No, it's not.
01:43All right, let's see what kind of distance can you get on this thing.
01:46Absolutely not.
01:47Oh, it needs, it's got a little, it's a little heavy in the front.
01:50Oh!
01:51Oh!
01:52Oh!
01:53Oh!
01:55Here, let me get that little ring back.
01:56Oh, yeah!
01:58It's pretty good, right?
01:59Yeah, I do this.
02:00I woke up like this!
02:02Yeah.
02:03Let's see here.
02:06Do either of you have the desire to direct an episode?
02:08Well, I have, and I will, and I enjoy it.
02:10I do enjoy it.
02:11Yeah, I'm actually not quite as ambitious in that area.
02:16I'm not necessarily looking to direct an episode.
02:19You are going to be doing craft service on one of the episodes.
02:21Yeah, yeah, I'll be serving some, I'll be serving some artery-clogging food.
02:26What do you guys do off the set?
02:30Chris likes to play basketball, and I like to play golf.
02:34It's actually competitive karaoke that he's into.
02:40He likes to tell people that it's a rap career, but it's competitive karaoke.
02:44Chris likes to visit as many soul food restaurants as possible when he's off set.
02:47That's his thing.
02:49Yeah, yeah, he just stays in the soul food joint.
02:51You can't keep him out of the hood.
02:53When we're off set, you can't keep Chris out of the hood.
02:56Do you guys ever watch your episodes after you film them?
02:59Of course.
03:00Absolutely.
03:02You know, it's funny.
03:03I used to not like, I've done films where I've never even seen the finished product.
03:08But for some reason, I really enjoy watching the show and the characters
03:11and seeing how they put it all together every week.
03:14It's amazing to me.
03:15I feel like we're doing half a movie every eight days.
03:17And I like to watch it and just criticize myself
03:19and think about what I could have done better.
03:22I can talk to you afterwards.
03:23Yeah, yeah.
03:24You can help me out with that?
03:26How would you describe season six compared to the other seasons?
03:31Well, we're still getting started in it.
03:32I think what's happening in season six is for so many years now,
03:35the writers have been planting seeds and giving us little tidbits about each character.
03:39I think in season six, we're going to learn kind of what they meant by these
03:43little cryptic messages that they threw out.
03:45Little tidbits?
03:46Little tidbits.
03:47That's the word you pulled out?
03:48Little tidbits?
03:49Little tidbits.
03:50You went there with it?
03:51Okay.
03:52Sam and Callan is one of my favorite bromances.
03:55Will we have more bromantic scenes this season?
03:57Yes, we have a prison scene.
03:59It's pretty wild.
04:01It gets pretty crazy.
04:03It gets pretty aggressive.
04:04We've been trapped in a cell.
04:05I actually asked G. Callan what he's in for, and then you can take it from there.
04:09What's next?
04:11He's not kidding.
04:12All right.
04:14So what's next?
04:16Next, how long does it take to complete one episode?
04:18It takes eight days to complete an episode.
04:20Sometimes longer.
04:21Generally speaking, we do five days on location and three days in the studio,
04:25the studio being paramount.
04:26But Los Angeles itself is such a character in our show that we like to get out
04:30and see the city.
04:31Yeah.
04:33What has been the most challenging stunt you each had to perform?
04:37Remember that time where you had to climb a ladder and change that light bulb?
04:40That was unbelievable.
04:41Yeah, yeah, that was pretty deep.
04:44You know I can tear you up right now, right?
04:46You know that, right?
04:47I'm going to let you slide, though.
04:48Go ahead.
04:49Talk tough.
04:50Go ahead.
04:51Tear me up.
04:52No, no, no.
04:53What do you got?
04:54I don't think you can.
04:55You don't want me to do that.
04:56Anyway, anyway.
04:57You're just dodging the question.
04:58Anyway, anyway.
04:59Yeah, my toughest stunt.
05:00Never mind.
05:01Anyway, he wins.
05:02What has been the best prank on set?
05:04The best prank on set?
05:06The best prank on set.
05:07I got you.
05:08I definitely got you.
05:11I was on the cover of a health magazine or something.
05:13Yeah.
05:14And I knew he was going to give me a hard time about this.
05:16So I had the prop guys make a fake advertisement in the same magazine.
05:20It showed him endorsing some protein powder that he had nothing to do with.
05:23It was pretty good.
05:24And when he saw it.
05:25I went crazy.
05:26Someone goes, oh look, you're in there too.
05:27He goes, what?
05:28I went crazy.
05:29I'm not going to lie to you.
05:30That's great.
05:31They're paying you a little extra money.
05:32He goes, I'm not getting paid for that.
05:33But I am going to.
05:34He's on the phone with his lawyers.
05:35I went crazy.
05:36It was very funny.
05:37He got me good.
05:38What are you both looking forward to this season?
05:43Getting out of the submarine would be the first one.
05:45It was very smelly in that submarine.
05:47And I'm not saying who.
05:49You know what?
05:50I just look forward to establishing ourselves on a new night.
05:54I look forward to fans following us to Mondays and embracing the show.
06:01I hope that a lot of people watch us and continue to embrace us.
06:05That's what I look forward to.
06:07I get a tear to my eye every time.
06:08You crying about that?
06:09A little bit.
06:10You know I'm letting you slide this whole time, right?
06:13Seriously, you climbed that ladder.
06:15And you reached for the light bulb.
06:17And you had to turn it.
06:18And it was hot.
06:20And your fingers were numb.
06:22But you kept turning.
06:23This is it.
06:24And you got it down.
06:25This is it.
06:26This is it.
06:27Exactly.
06:28See?
06:29Tell us something about your partner that we don't know.
06:31Oh, really.
06:34Something about your partner that we don't know.
06:37Something about Chris O'Donnell that the world doesn't know.
06:46Where to begin?
06:52Next question.
06:54We're good.
06:55Something that you don't know about this guy.
06:57Something I don't know about Chris?
07:00I already don't believe what you're going to say.
07:02I'm not going to say anything.
07:04I don't want to be over here dry snitching.
07:07You know what I mean?
07:09He's a gentleman.
07:10A true gentleman.
07:11I'm not going to be on TV dry snitching for G. Callen.
