00:00Hey guys, that'll be it for our food and eating in Japan playlist.
00:03Tonight we're at Joyful, which is another chain of family restaurants in Japan, pretty
00:09similar to all the others.
00:11They have pretty tasty food, pretty competitive prices, big picture menus that you can flick
00:20through and decide what you want.
00:22That's the breakfast menu there, right in the middle of their grand menu.
00:26So pretty similar, pretty similar to what you get at the other family restaurants.
00:30Usually it's sort of a western style variety there of hamburger patties and vegetables
00:37and things.
00:38And then usually towards the back you get the more traditional Japanese dishes.
00:43So something for everybody, all very tasty, all very reasonably priced.
00:50So as we get to the back here, you're starting to see the Japanese, a little bit more Japanese
00:54traditional style things, fish, ebi furai, shrimp.
01:06And the dessert menu, lots of tasty, high calorie, sweet, yummy things, on kakigori
01:12because it's still summer menu, so the shaved ice, very, very yummy.
01:17So pretty much the same as all the others.
01:19This is something we haven't seen before though, the soup bar.
01:22So they always have a soup bar, but not normally a machine.
01:25So in this case you take your cup, you put it underneath there and you can have corn
01:30or onion or potato soup.
01:34Just push the button and it comes out like a drink machine.
01:37So that's something a little bit different.
01:40And here's one of the sort of traditional options with the tasty bowl of yumminess there
01:46with the tofu and the raw egg and the rice and the pickled, pickled bits at the back
01:52there.
01:53One of the more traditional dishes.
01:56So it's great.
01:57It really is like all the places in Japan, always good quality, always tasty.
02:03That's another one of those.
02:04More videos coming soon.
