Guitar lesson/tutorial on how to play "Mean Machine" by Sugar Ray. It's basically only the beginning riff. I guess there's not much more to say haha. AS USUAL, DON'T TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY!

00:00hey what's up everybody and welcome back to another video today's gonna be my
00:15second time in a row doing sugar ray mean machine I only literally just heard
00:21it like recently so bear with me on the lesson that being said if you liked the
00:28video please hit that like button subscribe down below sugar ray mean
00:33machine stick around pretty sure tune down a half step first I think my
00:39guitar is tuned down a half step and then second it's tuned drop D tuning so
00:44it's tuned down a half step and drop D tuning so to drop D tuning you basically
00:49just go you drop the low E string down until it until it sounds like a power
00:59chord for the first three strings that's how I you know drop it down until these
01:04three strings sound in unison barring them if that makes any sense it sounds
01:08like a chord okay so it's fast to this this so the main riff throughout is
01:32yeah so what that it's not as hard as it it sounds you have to do it fast but
01:38once you get it's over and over so it's the same thing kind of over and over
01:41again so it's not as bad it's okay like I said drop D tuning so all these chords
01:47power chords are when it's a root on the low E which is a D it's just barring
01:54these so I'll just say the actual fret it's the open strings twice then three
02:04four five then open once so open twice three four five open three four five
02:17open three four five three so so open twice so and then and then when it
02:24restarts you do open twice so it's open strings twice then three four five open
02:30three four five open so it's like and then you kind of and then open three so
02:38I'll do a try to do it slowly
02:46and then again open open so open twice on the first time three four five open
02:55three four five open three four five open open three and then the open three
03:04kind of ends the riff and then you start over with open twice you just that's
03:11over and over again so you're gonna do it fast too
03:16so hopefully you know it's once you it's in order so it's not really three
03:30four five three four five and then let and then the open in between it's not
03:34really as hard as it sounds but it's a cool once you get it up once you get it
03:38up to speed it's cool to do okay so the only other part mainly is like the
03:45verses of D power chord
03:50five seven seven with the root on the a to a C power chord three five five root
03:56on the day to a I want to say F I don't really know the three three three with
04:06the root with the e a and D and then back to a D you go to that kind of twice
04:16you you just let them ring out like D C I want to say
04:25you do that twice and then you get into a you know like the eight in a row type
04:32sixteenth notes or I don't know what those eighth notes I don't know what
04:37they are so the same progression but in order muted
05:02yeah again so in order you know right through so D C power chord three three
05:10three I guess that's an F to a D so though it's DC F D individually and then
05:19as you're going through it and then really the only other part at the very
05:24towards the end is a D and then a six which is kind of we had six six six
05:34those notes kind of a weird little let it ring out and then you do the six
05:43yeah so that's at the toes the end a little bit yeah so for the most part
05:59so hopefully after doing it slow enough times you'll get it to full speed so
06:16basically that was a sugar a mean machine okay so that'll do it for another
06:21video until next time I guess there's not much more to say see you later a
06:28good douche
