A mother and son are missing after being swept away by strong currents while attempting to wade through flash floods in Kampung Tanjung Kiri near Kuala Nerang. Kedah on Saturday (Sept 28) morning.

00:00A mother and son went missing after being swept away by strong currents while attempting
00:06to wade through flash floods in Kerdah on Saturday morning.
00:10The Kuala Nerung Fire and Rescue Department said they were alerted about the incident
00:15at 8.29 am and deployed personnel to the scene within 20 minutes.
00:20The incident happened at Kampung Tanjung Kiri, near Kuala Nerung.
00:25The victims were identified as 46-year-old Salma Mat Zain and her 19-year-old disabled
00:30son Mohamad Rosman Rohaidi.
00:33A search and rescue operation is underway to locate the victims using an aluminium boat.
00:40Personnel from the Pokok Sena, Sungai Petani and Jitra fire stations have been roped in
00:45to help with the operation.
