00:00Seaforth is a tension-filled folk-horror short film based on the legend of the Bran Seer,
00:15a character from Scottish mythology.
00:28As the story goes, the young Cunnach Or, as he was known then, one day stumbles on a seeing
00:32stone which gives him the ability to see into the future. Cursed with second sight, he is
00:39forced to suffer the knowledge of every detail of his life and death.
00:45Our story is set in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, and this Gaelic-language film will
00:49follow Lady Seaforth, the Laird's wife, who summons the local Seer to answer questions
00:54about her husband's infidelity. This culminates in a fraught interrogation, and her quest
01:01for the truth leads to broken promises, a struggle for power, and eventually a burning
01:07body in a whisky barrel.
01:09We see this film as an opportunity to celebrate our rich culture of storytelling by breathing
01:15new life into these fabled characters, and with your help we can bring this vision to
01:20the screen. You can support us by selecting one of the many exciting rewards available
01:25on our Kickstarter page. These range from on-screen credits to film posters, premiere
01:31screenings or even your very own seeing stone.
01:35The money we're raising will go towards essential production costs such as crew wages and expenses,
01:40travel and accommodation, production design, costumes, hair, makeup, locations and more.
01:46We are grateful to be able to say that post-production has already kindly been supported.
01:52Finally, thank you so much for taking the time to view our page. Any support you can
01:56give will be really, really appreciated. We couldn't do it without you.
