00:01:05And in a match that will command your attention as a high-flying, innovative spectacle made

00:01:18Going to be an incredible night of action, we're going to kick things off hot with the
00:01:21former World Television Champion against one of the fastest rising stars in ROH.
00:01:25The following contest is scheduled for one fall, with a 20 minute time limit.

00:01:51But for fans who follow AEW Ring of Honor, Caprice Action Andretti, a little bit of a
00:01:55different attitude as of late.
00:01:57Hey, but check it out, man, you deserve it when you can rock like that, you've got a
00:02:01crew that you're rocking with, getting some wins under your belt, confidence rising, you'll
00:02:06be feeling yourself too, Rick Abadie.
00:02:08Certainly want a huge test ahead though, a former Ring of Honor World Television Champion,
00:02:13we go back to our guinea.
00:02:14And his opponent, Tony Jeffins!
00:02:21And this was a match I didn't know I wanted to see until it was signed, Code of Honor
00:02:27adheres to.
00:02:29Tony Jeffins, one of my favorites, Rick Abadie, we're going to dive into the deep end.

00:03:06the ropes, shoulder tackle, and it's Andretti, and this crowd, I don't know if they know
00:03:14what to make of Andretti, he's been more aggressive as of late.
00:03:18As Devin, the former TV champ, cover, two.
00:03:27It's hard when you're a wrestler and you become more aggressive, and you get it, watch
00:03:30his pin, oh, nice trap, trap, two.
00:03:34It's hard to balance that, because sometimes you can be aggressive and not be a bad person,
00:03:39you're just being more assertive in your actions because you're wanting those wins, sometimes
00:03:42you can be too nice.
00:03:45Well we've seen that before.
00:03:47Be a nice cost, I mean, not a television title, Rick Abadi.
00:03:52Well, it certainly did, Billie Starks, ooh, had her opportunities, Queen Aminata did as
00:03:59well, those mind games, taking advantage, knife edge chop there, Devin is a hard man
00:04:07to game plan for, those unorthodox, Bob Backman style movements, kind of of the new age.

00:04:14Yeah, Devin can take a lot of punishment too.
00:04:18What the word, look at that, beautiful, wrist lock takeover into the drop kick, it's actually
00:04:26Andretti on the roll here.
00:04:27I mean, talking about hard to plan, yeah, that assertiveness is gaining confidence,
00:04:33watch this, springboard twist, cover, two.
00:04:38And Devin, so well conditioned, and a victory over Devin would go a long way.
00:04:45He's huge, man, and I like the condition of Devin, he has so much resilience, we've seen
00:04:50him take beating after beating after beating, and not die, no, a snapmare, of course, formally
00:04:57associated with AEW's Brody King, hooks the leg here, one, and he was hanging around those
00:05:05guys, I'll tell you what, you gotta be a bad dude.
00:05:07Most people just check out, Devin kicks out and creates that space, trying to recover
00:05:12as fast as possible, looking for an opening, but Andretti, with his no bound assertiveness,
00:05:17is not letting one happen.
00:05:18Two count there, and I like it, because this is showing that Andretti came to play in singles
00:05:24action, we've seen him do very well in tag and six man, oh, but the jump into the fire
00:05:30to continue to try and level up against even better opponents, is telling me a lot about
00:05:35Andretti, a man who's got a victory over Chris Jericho.
00:05:37I was getting ready to say that, but Rick Abadi, sometimes when you come in on a high
00:05:40string like that, you get a win over somebody like Chris Jericho, and then your career doesn't
00:05:45go the way you want it to, you have to do something to resurge that, and I believe this
00:05:49is what Andretti's doing.
00:05:51In the corner here, Devin, springboard, oh, no one home on the press, charging in, back
00:05:57elbow, the Nipa native here from Shamokin, up and over, boom, look at this, come on,
00:06:03Rick Abadi, into the corner, Shamokin, it is Devin with the forearm, oh, big close line
00:06:12there, wow, you gotta be a tough dude, I told you to fight your way out of a proud town
00:06:18in the slate belt like Shamokin, Devin did just that, to take the international stage,
00:06:24looking to get back in the win column here at ROH, all the way up top, it is Devin, no
00:06:29one home, Devin able to recover, it's Andretti here, elbow catches, Andretti, Devin out of
00:06:38the ropes, smart move by Devin, holding on to those ropes, making it hard for Andretti
00:06:42to pull him off, Andretti shoots the outside, Devin with a nice kick, great separation,
00:06:48wow, Andretti to the outside, watch this, Rick Abadi, I remember this, yeah, it's Devin
00:06:57off the ropes, Devin in the deep end, splashing down on the outside, he's like starting to
00:07:06hedgehog, whoa, wait a minute, Andretti, Andretti staying on top, it's not aggression, as if
00:07:15Andretti was reminding him whose yards you're in now, springboard, 450, lands on his feet,
00:07:20returning, nice kick, look at that, downstairs, and at the combination here, front face lock,
00:07:27the deadlift, somewhat, out of the bucket, oh, leg hook, two, no, wow, nothing wrong
00:07:34with the cover, nothing wrong with the weight distribution, Devin is just showing that he's
00:07:38not ready to go home, a lot of fight between these two, Matt, couldn't think of a better
00:07:43way to kick things off this week here on ROH. Can you believe this is the first match?
00:07:47Oh, I can't, what's, oh, shotgun drop kick, and if we're getting this first,
00:07:53imagine what we'll see in a minute, as Andretti, springboard, two, got him.
00:08:03Here is your winner, Action Andretti. And count that as the signature win for Action Andretti,
00:08:12Tony Devin returns, the former world TV champ, but it's Andretti, who was tested,
00:08:19who comes through the other side with the victory. If you're ever looking for confidence,
00:08:23no more confidence builder than getting a win over a former ring of honor television champion,
00:08:28great win for Action Andretti. Devin looking fantastic in his return, but that speaks volumes
00:08:35to the win that Andretti picked up here tonight in our opening contest, fans, we caught up with
00:08:40the Iron Savages and Jack Jamison earlier today. Outrunners, the youngest men alive. First of all,
00:08:51how can y'all be the youngest men alive when one of you has a bald spot bigger than the highway
00:08:56between Fort Worth and Dallas? And second of all, you want to make a name for yourselves,
00:09:01that's fine. You want to rise to the top, that's fine, but when you want to do that
00:09:05off the big meaty backs of the Iron Savages, that's not fine, you two. You're wannabes,
00:09:13you're carbon copies, you're meat riders, couple of meat riders. You two came in this company
00:09:21riding off of our meat wave just as we were starting to cook and you know we cook,
00:09:27look at the size of those boys. You two are nothing but a couple of meat riders.
00:09:33All of the buzz that you two have accommodated over the last month should belong to us,
00:09:40should belong to the Iron Savages. Oh, what, you don't like that? You don't like what we have to
00:09:46say? You don't like what we've done? Why don't you do something about it? Because if you don't,
00:09:51we'll be around every corner, we'll be on every Florida beach, we'll be in every gym sauna waiting
00:09:58to embarrass you. More than you embarrass yourselves on a daily freaking basis.

00:10:12Well, an enraged Iron Savages stated their motivation for this attack. It was two weeks
00:10:17ago that we saw three on two of the- You don't want to be the Iron Savages. Nobody's the Iron
00:10:23Savages. The Iron Savages, this decimating, in my opinion, out of jealousy, the Outrunners.
00:10:31And here tonight, we will see them in tag team action. This tag team action set for one fall
00:10:37with a 20 minute time limit. Team number one with a combined weight of 497 pounds,
00:10:43the team of Jack Jenison and BK Boulder.

00:11:11I wasn't going to say it, but you said it, so I guess it's going to be okay. Iron Savages,
00:11:16we ride the meat. Tell you what, the most vulgar team. I can't let my kids watch this.
00:11:24This is- But the physicality, just the brutal sneak attacks. And they're going against the
00:11:30team. It was no shame. And it's done a little bit of that themselves. Third place,
00:11:35accompanied by Evil Uno, John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Dark Order.
00:11:44Reynolds on the left, Silver on the right, Evil Uno down the middle.
00:11:49For no strangers to sneak attacks of their own, Caprice. Yeah, you never know what kind of energy
00:11:54the Dark Order is bringing into the house when they walk in. And sometimes the fans don't even
00:11:59catch it until later, because the Dark Order is just that crafty. You don't know they're evil
00:12:06until they do it. And of course, the last week, the sneak attack, laying out with the cage of
00:12:15agony. Yeah, just decimating the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions, who've had quite the
00:12:22schedule on their own right. We'll have some highlights of collision coming up that match
00:12:27against the Undisputed Kingdom. But it's amazing, though. The fans- You're right, Caprice. The fans
00:12:33are never wrong. They've taken to this day one tag team, who feels they've been overlooked and
00:12:38feels like they need to do things like that sneak attack to get the attention back on them. Yeah,
00:12:42sometimes when you like somebody, Rick Cabana, you'll go past so many things. I watched half
00:12:48of training day before I realized Denzel Washington was the bad guy. There you go,
00:12:53nice waist lock here. Two teams not adored by the fans at this moment. Of course, the fans in

00:13:12Look at that, the power of Boulder. Goodness. Yeah. Oh, mocking. Yeah, that's a little bit
00:13:21dangerous. That attack last week looked planned, Rick Cabana. Yeah, there was an uncanniness to
00:13:31the engagement, the unity between the Dark Order and the Cage of Agony as we went off the air.
00:13:37Kind of rubbed me the wrong way. There's a lot of cohesiveness that was just unexplained to me.
00:13:41And a tag made. Jack Jameson, and he is jacked, I'll give him that.
00:13:51A lot of vascularity, a lot of muscles in this match. You're gonna have a pose-off?
00:13:55Oh, yeah, I'd love that. I bet you would. Yeah, I sure would. Nice side headlock there.
00:14:04Don't normally get to see Jameson in these matches. John Silver coming off a win last
00:14:09week over KM. Great victory with that Sid Vicious-like spinning. Oh, John Silver with
00:14:16that surprising strength out of nowhere. That ground game that he has, that low center of
00:14:20gravity. He is freaking jacked. Strong power game. Reminds you of the British Bulldog. Wow, there you go.
00:14:32They talk a lot about meat and beating meat and doing this to their meat and
00:14:36Great Amy. Hey, Rick Abadi said, I didn't say that.
00:14:42Oh, wait a minute. They talk about meat, but Johnny's hugging and he's inviting Jack Jameson
00:14:47to the dinner table. He just put him in his hair, his place on earth. And why is he so
00:14:54offended that Jack Jameson got a trip to his favorite city? Wow.
00:14:59Oh, you got boobs in your face. Oh, big clothesline. That right there was that attention being grabbed.
00:15:09Sometimes you do what you want, but you forget why you're there. You're wrestling, you're fighting,
00:15:13you're trying to survive. And that attention right there, that birdie, John Silver is costing him
00:15:19right now. Well, and I'll tell you what they used to say. Oh, as we talked about Tacoma earlier,
00:15:25tag made one of the great players in the state of Washington. Gary Payton was one of the great
00:15:29defenders because he could talk trash and then defend you and pick your pocket. And I think the
00:15:35wrestling equivalent of that are the iron savages. That trash talk, they don't stop talking Caprice.
00:15:44It's a hard thing to get your tail whooped by somebody that's talking to you about it while
00:15:49doing it, man. It's demoralizing. Oh, look at that. The skull squeeze reminiscent
00:15:56of Crush, but three times as big from Beefcake Boulder.
00:16:06Oh, wait a minute. Just sizing up John Silver. Silver with a big boot. Spent too much time.
00:16:11Telegraphed it. And another second rope on the inside. Silver caught.
00:16:20And Jameson continues to bark orders to the big man, but it's Silver up and over makes the tag.
00:16:28Reynolds in, cleaning the house. Knows which direction to go into. Misdirection. Nice.
00:16:34And look at Reynolds go downstairs to the knee. Off the ropes.
00:16:42And there is that equity they have with the fans, Caprice, even though they've administered these
00:16:47sneak attacks against fan favorites like Dustin Rhodes, Sammy Guevara, the Von Erics. They still
00:16:52love him. I think sometimes people just love good wrestling, Ricker Bonnie, and the cohesiveness that
00:16:57the Dark Order has. It's undeniable. Reynolds on his feet, ducks the clothesline. And look at that
00:17:02back fist. The double ax misses. It's Reynolds around the world. Whoa. Catches Beefcake. Look at
00:17:08this Cobra stretch. Cobra twist. Double ax from Jack Jameson.
00:17:19I'll tell you what. Back out as if he didn't do anything. Look for the tag. Oh, tag made. Wow.
00:17:24And he has been the MVP of this match so far for the Iron Savages. Well, you know,
00:17:29sometimes the manager on the outside is able to see things. And when you see the manager form
00:17:33inside the ring, that is still in great shape. They're able to do the things they're coaching.
00:17:37And that's Jack Jameson right now. And look at that uppercut. The forearms connect. Getting
00:17:42Beefcake down to size. Beefcake's not the legal man. And Beefcake is on the second. Wow.
00:17:48That was one arm, Ricker Bonnie. Elevator slam. And here comes Beefcake. My goodness.
00:17:54Smashing Reynolds. Leg hook. Great cover too. Wow. That was a lot of beef.

00:25:16A lot of question marks swirling about this man's involvement in last week's main event.

00:25:37Alec Price with a big opportunity here tonight. But Brian Cage, to me, didn't quite fit into the
00:25:43equation of what we saw last week, which meant his involvement was a bit more surprising to me
00:25:49than maybe even the Gates of Agony. Yeah, but I mean, I think Brian Cage, look at him. He can do
00:25:55what he wants to do, Rick. If I looked like that, I'd be on it. I'd be just walking down the ringside
00:26:00to showing my muscles off. But Cage got physical lift. Everybody laying coat of honor here too.

00:48:14what's needed. Leg caught, Commander on his feet. Still shaking though. Yeah, that left leg. He's,
00:48:22TV's hobbling to the outside. Sweeps the legs. My goodness. Commander swept the leg
00:48:30of Johnny TV. Johnny TV flipped on the outside, landed on his feet.
00:48:35And now Johnny TV hooks the inside leg too. Johnny TV is so smooth.
00:48:43Commander's got a two-match winning streak here in ROH. We've seen some team with A.R. Fox
00:48:52two weeks ago. And before that, took on the Mountain of a Man, KM. Much different opponent
00:48:58here tonight. So you were blocking all the defense that Commander has and laying right in, like you
00:49:03said, on the neck of Commander. Those forearms straight to the neck. The target may be the neck,
00:49:10the target may be the neck, like you said, Riccobono. Yeah, for TV, it's just been read, react,
00:49:17get the neck. And it's been working thus far. He's trusting himself to play defense, turn that
00:49:24defense into offense. Yeah, Commander needs to listen to his back to deck and protect the neck.

00:54:25the Ring of Honor, pure wrestling championship. Introducing first,
00:54:32the challenger, from Detroit, Michigan, weighing 240 pounds, Preston Vance.
00:54:41Preston Vance, who is undefeated in ROH, making an interesting decision, jumping head first into
00:54:48the pure division, Caprice. Yeah, come in hot, taking that heat, challenging for the pure title,
00:54:55he gets that challenge. Against a man who's ready to defend against anyone.
00:55:02His opponent, accompanied by Shane Taylor, wrestling out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
00:55:07weighing 199 pounds. He is representing Shane Taylor Promotions, and he is the Ring of Honor,
00:55:16pure wrestling champion, Tagustyle Lee Moriarty. Lee Moriarty, the 15th Ring of Honor, pure
00:55:27champion by number, the 13th individual to hold that championship.
00:55:34And Lee can start getting into rarefied air, the longer he holds that title,
00:55:39been willing to defend it, been willing to have proven ground bouts.
00:55:45And I'll tell you what, this is an interesting matchup. Yeah, the title, Caprice, let's briefly
00:55:51review the rules. You get three rope bricks. After you exhaust the rope bricks, you can be pinned,
00:55:56submitted on between underneath the ropes. You get one closed fist to the face. The second
00:56:00results in an automatic disqualification. 20 count on the outside. A count out results in a change of
00:56:06a title, should the challenger be victorious in the count out situation. No outside interference.
00:56:12That results in an immediate disqualification, suspension, and a title changing hands.
00:56:18Code of Honor adhered to. And if we go the 60 minutes, if we go the time limit, we head to
00:56:22the judges. You see Jerry Lynn, Christopher Daniels, Jimmy Jacobs, two former world champs,
00:56:26and Jimmy, five times over former Ring of Honor tag champ.
00:56:32And the strength of Preston Vance immediately could, showing itself as a factor here. Yeah,
00:56:39I don't know anybody as strong in the peer division as Preston Vance, other than Josh Woods.
00:56:44And Josh Woods, a born wrestler, this is going to be a different game here to see what Moriarty
00:56:50does against this power wrestler here in Preston Vance. And I like to see all wrestlers in the
00:56:55peer divisions. And now let's see what a power wrestler does, if Vance is able to hold on to
00:57:00the rules of the peer division. And does it work in his favor? Oh, nice shoulder tackle there. We've
00:57:04seen some surprises covered, like on Helico, who, you know, we assumed could do it, and then turned
00:57:11out to be amazing in the peer division. Yeah, but sometimes the peer division is made for the
00:57:16lighter wrestlers, because you take away the fish, you take away the brutality of wrestling,
00:57:21and it favors you. But a big power wrestler, I'm not sure how much it would favor. And almost
00:57:27looking at Moriarty to see what he would have to do against somebody like Vance. I want to see
00:57:31what Moriarty has to pull out of himself. Oh, wait a minute. And the ropes here, and the ropes.
00:57:36Vance not letting go. Yeah, but it's going to count against him. What? Oh, okay.
00:57:42Oh, wait a minute.
00:57:47Preston Vance has been issued a warning for the use of a closed fist strike to the face. Okay,
00:57:51so great discretion there. Let's explain what happened there, Caprice, as Preston Vance.
00:57:56It was a defensive maneuver. It was in play, in motion. Stefan Smith saying that the O'Connor
00:58:02roll was blocked using the ropes. It does not count, but the closed fist certainly does.
00:58:07So Vance could cost himself a title if he used another closed fist.
00:58:13Tell you what, Stefan is one of the greatest referees in the world. That was a great call.

00:58:23to be slowing him down on these chargers into the corner, but the clothesline misses there.

00:59:24It's the powerhouses. You're right, because normally when you get into these matches,
00:59:30I think everybody tries to wrestle as maybe a style that's not theirs. If you stay true to
00:59:35yourself and you wrestle as a power wrestler, you might be successful like Vance has been.
00:59:40That may be the definition of peer. Peer is who you are. Being a peer, who you are,
00:59:44is showing the world that you're a wrestler. Beautiful flat liner into the second turnbuckle
00:59:51there. Yeah, I think if Moriarty's saying you can use the outside as a weapon, I can use the
00:59:55inside as a weapon. Very smart move by Moriarty regaining control as the champion is crushing the
01:00:01head of Vance. And Stephan, I like Stephan giving the leeway on the ropes. Front face lock there.
01:00:14Oh, as the float over to the front chantry, had a lot of weight behind it. Ricobondo calls him
01:00:21Vance to land on his head. Look how much trouble Moriarty's having trying to close this
01:00:27lock here. And yeah, Vance has to go to the ropes. That is rope break number one used by
01:00:33Preston Vance. So Moriarty trying to close that wrist lock, but the power of Vance is not allowing
01:00:38it. And as a student of the game as Moriarty is, Preston Vance, who when he was freaking into
01:00:44wrestling, tore his bicep off the bone. It was a long-term injury and he could know that. Wait a
01:00:50minute, Vance just powers himself out of submission moves. Oh, but has to go to the ropes. That is
01:00:56rope break number two used by Preston Vance. Now this is where the rules may be working in the
01:01:03favor of the champion who knows the rules very well and have used them in his favor. Oh, but
01:01:09Vance, knife edge chop. He's got to be careful using those forearms. Great job there by Vance
01:01:14off the ropes. He's got one more rope break. He has no more closed fists. Roll up to stack roll
01:01:21over. Oh, look for the border city. Every time Moriarty tries to lock in a submission move,
01:01:29Vance is outpowering Moriarty. Moriarty is going to have to change his game plan.
