00:00Distinguish between the Truth and the Falsehood
00:04Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim
00:14One of the maqasid of the blessed mawlid of Sayyidina Rasulullah ï·º
00:22is to distinguish between the truth and the falsehood.
00:25And this is one of the main maqasid of the mawlid of Sayyidina Rasulullah ï·º
00:31to distinguish between what is right and what is wrong.
00:36Just in a few minutes inshallah we'll take a very important message.
00:40If we look into the zamana of jahiliyya, the time of jahiliyya
00:45then it was a common practice of the Ahlul Arab of the time to bury their daughters alive.
00:52It was a very common practice for the people of the time
00:56to bury their daughters alive with fakhr, with pride
01:00in a way that they were very happy in doing this
01:02and they were very gloatful in their mannerisms in the way they would do this.
01:10But when our master, the light of humanity, the noor of Allah, Sayyidina Muhammad ï·º was born
01:16then Rasulullah ï·º said, Fatima is part of my heart.
01:22If we look at one side, daughters were buried alive
01:25and people would be burying them in a very proud way, in a very happy way.
01:30But when the best of all creation, Sayyidina Muhammad ï·º came
01:34he said that Fatima, my daughter, is part of my heart.
01:38This is the kalima of jihad if we look at it in very much detail.
01:47If we look at this, this is the kalima of jihad
01:49that in such a society whereby women were given no rights,
01:53they were given no ahmiyat, they were given no importance
01:56then in such a climate, in such a circumstance, in such a zulumat,
02:01the noor, the badr of Medina, he rose, he came upon us
02:06and he mentioned that Fatima is part of my heart, subhanallah.
02:10So Rasulullah ï·º, he himself, he gave rights to women
02:15and we are the ummah of Sayyidina Muhammad ï·º.
02:18But what is our conduct with women?
02:20What is our conduct with the nisaat?
02:23For my young brothers, without going into much detail,
02:27you will understand exactly what I mean.
02:29In our af'al, in our a'mal with the sisters, how are we treating them?
02:35Are we trying to find the most beautiful profiles on Instagram or on TikTok,
02:42trying to follow those people, trying to send direct messages to them?
02:45Are we sending inappropriate messages to sisters, chasing them, running after women?
02:51Is this our conduct?
02:53And unfortunately, many of you will agree with me,
02:55this is the conduct that is currently taking place.
02:58And for our elder Muslim brothers,
03:01are we treating our wives as our committed and respected partners?
03:08Are we showing them mahabba and respect?
03:10Or are we treating them as slaves,
03:13that we expect them to cook such and such kosno for us every single day?
03:17We expect them to do the khidmah of us every single day,
03:20to keep the house clean, to keep the kitchen full, the fridge full?
03:25Are these people our workers?
03:28Are they our khuddam?
03:30Or are we supposed to show them mercy?
03:32This is the question each and every single one of us should ask ourselves.
03:35As Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
03:38he said Fatima is part of my heart.
03:40My daughter Fatima is part of my heart.
03:42What is our conduct with our daughters?
03:44Are we very harsh with them?
03:46When they come to tell us their activities at school, their daily routine,
03:51do we shun them away?
03:52Do we push them away?
03:53Say I'm tired, I've been working all day.
03:55Go tell your mom.
03:56Or do we pay close attention to what they have to say?
04:00My dear Islam brothers,
04:01women, they are very fragile.
04:03They're like a very fragile glass.
04:05They can break very easily.
04:06Once they're broken, you cannot fix it again.
04:09So my dear Islam brothers,
04:10it's very important how we are treating our women.
04:12And if we look at the blessed seerah of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
04:16the best of all creation,
04:17the final prophet, Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
04:20he taught us how to be kind towards women.
04:22And it's famous, it is famous in the
04:24in the khidmah mubarak of Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
04:27Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that fear Allah regarding your women
04:32because they are your committed partners.
04:35They are not people to be treated as slaves or as lower-class citizens.
04:40Rather, we should show them muhabba and show them respect.
04:44This is one of the maqasas,
04:46this is one of the reasons of the mawlid of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
04:49And just to finish,
04:52in the previous times as we all know,
04:54the ghayru arab, the people who are not Arab,
04:57they were referred to as ajam, meaning people,
04:59they do not have the ability to speak.
05:02They do not have the ability to speak.
05:04This is the way the non-Arab were referred to.
05:08The ahlul arab, they have so much fakhr and so much pride of their fasaha,
05:13of their ability to speak fasih arabi,
05:16that they would call the non-Arab ajam, that you are not able to speak.
05:19But in such an environment,
05:21Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam came,
05:24and he brought Hazrat Suhaib Rumi radiyallahu anhu closer.
05:27He brought Hazrat Sayyidina Bilal al-Habashi radiyallahu anhu closer.
05:31He brought Sayyidina Salman al-Farisi radiyallahu anhu closer.
05:34People who were not Arab, Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
05:38he called them all closer and he gave them high status in society.
05:42He displayed their shan, he spoke about their shan and their great virtues in numerous ahadith.
05:47So this is one of the maqasid of the mawlid of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
05:51To take away these barriers,
05:53take away these, you know, staying within your groups,
05:57staying within such a baradari,
05:59staying within such a qawm, such a group.
06:02This is not from Islam or any Islamic province.
06:04We must spread our muhabba across all of the ummah of Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
06:08We should bring everyone close.
06:10And I hope this is something that we can do inshallah from this speech.
06:13Wa sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Sayyidina Muhammad wa alhamdulillahi rabbil alamin.
