00:06the state of Oklahoma. A big twelve battle today between
00:09Oklahoma State and Utah. Coach Bowden, Utah is a slight
00:12favorite on the road in Stillwater but we are really
00:15not sure the status of Utah's quarterback Cam Rising. From
00:19the coaching perspective, if you're Mike Gundy, how are you
00:22preparing your defense for this matchup against the Utes? Well,
00:26you gotta prepare for Cam Rising because he is the guy
00:28that's made them the preseason favorite in the conference now.
00:31He practiced Tuesday. He practiced Wednesday and those
00:34are your work days. Those are the days that you really have
00:36to prepare for. So, the the word out of there out of out of
00:39Utah is that he's ready to go and I think what's gotta
00:42happen, you gotta make sure you put good pressure on him. Uh
00:45don't give up the deep ball and make sure he doesn't beat you
00:47because you know, Utah was a preseason favorite in this
00:50conference. Oklahoma State probably number two but they
00:53were preseason favorite because of Cam Rising and you can't let
00:56him beat you throwing that football and what he does
00:59offensively. Coach, Utah's just twenty and twenty overall over
01:03the past six seasons in regards to playing on the road. It's a
01:07special mindset. What is the most important thing to pull a
01:10match up in in a team in Oklahoma State that has been a
01:14dominant home team over the past few years? Well, you just
01:17don't, you don't wanna give up the big player, turn the ball
01:19over. When you're playing on the road and you're playing a
01:22team that is a good football team that plays well at home,
01:25don't give them a better chance to win by turning the ball over
01:29and giving up explosive plays. Now, Oklahoma State's running
01:32back, their great running back has not exploded so far. So,
01:35you don't want him to be the guy.
