00:00You know, Cap, I want to ask you about an odd situation. I don't know if developing is the right word, but with the L.A. Rams this year, expectations were after making the postseason last year, they could improve on that.
00:15They lose in overtime to the Detroit Lions and all of a sudden it starts to spiral, not be, you know, you lose one game, it's okay.
00:23But now you're 0-1 next week, uh-oh, we just lost to the Cardinals, you pick your head up, your whole offensive line's down, your whole secondary's down, and your top two wide receivers are out, and now you're near touchdown dog against the 49ers.
00:35And out of nowhere, not because the roster has no pieces, but all the good ones seem to be injured, you have Stafford out there in a little bit of no man's land.
00:44It's early, it's chatter, I know, Cap, but is there any world the L.A. Rams could listen to offers on Matthew Stafford from a contending football team if their season is over due to these injuries that are hitting them hard?
00:59No, we'd have to, the first thing you have to do, Kevin, is look at the contract. Remember he had it adjusted before the season started, so you have to look at the salary cap ramifications before even considering it.
01:07Now, that aside, yeah, if they're at the trade deadline, they're 1-9, that changes everything. But again, you gotta look at the contract first and see what kind of salary cap hit they would take.
01:19Now, I would tell you, you're right, they're down three starting offensive linemen, two players in the secondary, they could be actually down more depending on how pregame warm-ups go for a couple of their injured players, so they're in a tough way.
01:31But it's so early, Kevin. It's like in Tennessee, right, everybody wants to run Will Levis out, and he's going to get his chance.
01:37But Mason Rudolph, who beat out Malik Willis, I was there with the Titans for two days, I mean, Mason Rudolph could play. He could actually start for a couple teams, man, he's not a bad quarterback. Will Levis has got to play better football.
01:49That's a situation to watch in Tennessee. There's been some really bad quarterback play, by the way, so far.
