00:05During his speech at the Invest Malaysia event in Johor Bahru on Thursday,
00:09Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim highlighted that University Technology Malaysia, UTM in Johor,
00:15has established a new faculty focused on AI,
00:18a development he initiated in collaboration with the Higher Education Ministry.
00:22Anwar expressed his admiration for a university he visited in Abu Dhabi,
00:27noting that it had successfully implemented AI education in a remarkably short time frame.
00:32He also highlighted the importance of partnering with the private sector to develop talent,
00:36a key concern raised in his discussions with global industry leaders.
00:40Additionally, the Prime Minister stressed the potential of the ASEAN market for investments,
00:45noting the region's vast population of 680 million
00:49and a combined GDP of US$3.5 trillion or approximately RM14.7 trillion.
00:56Regarding relations with Singapore, Anwar reaffirmed both nations' commitment to collaboration for mutual benefit.
01:03On the national budget, he identified education and health as top priorities,
01:08with the highest allocation going to education followed by health.
