Janey Godley reveals "devastating news" she's in end of life care

00:00So, I'm now in palliative care and I'm at end-of-life care now in the hospital.

00:08The chemo ran out of options and I just couldn't take any more of it and the cancer has spread.

00:17So, it looks like this will be getting to near the end of it.

00:22And it's really difficult to speak about this and say it to people.

00:26But again, I want to thank the NHS, the Scottish NHS, the Beatson, the Marie Curie, the Royal Infirmary,

00:33everybody from the doctors, the nurses, phlebotomists, the secretaries, the cleaners,

00:38the people who wipe my room down, the surgeons, right down to the wee woman that holds my hand and makes my tea.

00:44It is devastating news to know that I'm facing end-of-life, but we all come to an end sometime.

00:52I want to thank everybody for supporting my family, especially Ashley and my husband.

00:57The overwhelming support has been amazing and I don't know how long I've got left before anybody asks.

01:05I'm no a TikTok.

01:07So, I just want yous all to know that I appreciate all the love you've gave me and all the support.

01:14Cancer affects two-in-one people and it's affected me.

01:21So, I hope yous all have a lovely Christmas.

01:25Hopefully I might be here. Who knows? Don't know? No TikTok.

01:28But I just want you to know that I'm sending all my love and support to everybody else out there who's living with a life-limiting disease.
