With fewer than 100 days until Christmas, we ask the people of Birmingham when they think it’s too early to start holiday shopping. Are shops getting into the festive spirit too soon? Have Brummies already started their Christmas shopping, and if so, what’s on their list? Plus, we dive into the fear of selling out (FOSO) and how it affects holiday preparations. Join us for today's festive vox pop!

00:00So I personally haven't started. I would start like maybe I'd say like late
00:07November early December but I know people do it much earlier when they got
00:10a lot of people and stuff to go through. I probably will do it on a budget.
00:17Things like that you know like presents, food, stuff like that definitely on a
00:21budget as a student as well but I think yeah you can definitely tell
00:28supermarkets are trying to you know bring out Christmas stuff a bit early
00:32this year. I won't start shopping until well into December and we are quite
00:39careful on what we buy. We have a policy that we buy something for the
00:43grandchildren, something they need, something they want, something to read,
00:46something to wear. We don't buy adults and so we're very careful not. So to me
00:52Christmas is not a big extravagance in that it's all about getting together
00:56with family and friends.
