What went wrong in yesterday's Cowboys loss to the Ravens? Broaddus has already looked at the tape to diagnose what happened, other than the run game being completely awful and the run defense being even worse.

00:00You guys got any questions from what you saw yesterday or yeah, what the hell we got quite
00:19a lot.
00:20What the hell quite a lot.
00:21Yeah.
00:22Do you want to start offense or defense?
00:23Start it start on offense.
00:24If you want.
00:25If you got a question.
00:26I've got it.
00:27What was it on offense in the fourth quarter?
00:29I'll tell you what.
00:30Come together.
00:31Start with the positives, man.
00:32Butter.
00:33Seriously, they did a much better job with handling the Ravens front.
00:37The pressure with, you know, the thing the Ravens were able to do early in this game
00:42was with their rush, with their down rush.
00:45They were able to make things happen that way.
00:48There was one time they had an unblocked, they had unblocked, Hamilton was unblocked
00:53and that caused the pressure.
00:55But other than that, it really was their guys that were able to kind of create some
00:59early pressure.
01:00Zach Martin didn't play particularly well this game.
01:02I don't think any of the linemen particularly played well.
01:05I'll tell you what, though, if you look back, the tackles, the tackles were not terrible
01:10in this game.
01:11And I came out of that sitting next to Zach.
01:14I'm kind of thinking like, you know, BB and Guyton and those guys, I was just thinking
01:21about the tackles.
01:22I'm like, man, it doesn't look right.
01:24But on tape, it wasn't bad.
01:28So when I go back and watch the replay, I'll think higher of Steele, because right now
01:31I'm like, I thought James Steele kind of really struggled.
01:32Yeah, and I'm not trying to influence anybody, because you'll get your tape and you'll sit
01:36down and watch, but you will be surprised how they were able, they missed some throws
01:42and they missed some routes that they could have taken advantage.
01:45Now, there was a couple of pressures here and there, but nothing that you normally wouldn't
01:50face in a game.
01:51I'll say this, the running backs, no more Zeke, just, okay, let's, if you want to take
01:57a look.
01:58They reduced his snaps quite a bit.
01:59Yeah, they got the ratio much better.
02:01If you just want to go ahead and bring Cook up and play him, sit Zeke, I have no problem
02:07with that.
02:08But the toughness that Dowdle showed as a blitz pickup guy, catching the football and
02:12all those things yesterday, him, they try to throw a wheel route to Vaughn, I get it,
02:17they're trying to get him on the field and do some things with him.
02:20Rather him do that than just hammer him up the middle for no yards.
02:22Exactly.
02:23So to me, I thought that the offensive line was a big, big struggle.
02:29You were going to run the ball.
02:30I mean, when they ran the ball, they were able to kind of make me a little bit more
02:33about the backs than really the blocking yesterday.
02:37On the running, that's kind of what I'm wondering about.
02:40On their three touchdown drives, I think they only ran it twice over the course of like
02:4425 plays.
02:45Do you think abandoning the run is what they should be looking to do more?
02:48To me, when they went like no huddle and hurried up off it, I was watching the substitutions
02:57on the sidelines with the receivers.
02:59They could play with some pace if they want, because they have three guys on, three guys
03:03off.
03:04And they were constantly, they run a route, three guys on, guys come off.
03:08That's why the rotation that they were able to do, that really put the Ravens in some
03:13tough spots.
03:15Like I say, the touchdown that they threw to Tolbert, completely the combinations of
03:21the routes allowed the middle of the defense to open up.
