The Herdmans are absolutely the worst kids in the history of the world. They lie, they steal, they bully…and now they’ve hijacked the town Christmas pageant. Directed by Dallas Jenkins (“The Chosen”) and based on the international bestseller by Barbara Robinson, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER follows six siblings who sneak into church searching for snacks and walk away with the lead roles in the town pageant. Grace (Judy Greer) is directing the performance for the very first time; she and her daughter Beth (Molly Belle Wright) and husband Bob (Pete Holmes) are in over their heads, especially against a town that wants them to kick the Herdmans out. But the play’s mischievous stars might unwittingly teach a community the true meaning of Christmas. Featuring Lauren Graham. Screenplay by Ryan Swanson and Platte F. Clark & Darin McDaniel.

00:00Okay. Everyone.
00:04For as long as I can remember, our little town has loved Christmas.
00:09And nothing is more important than our annual Christmas pageant.
00:12The pageant is sacred.
00:14Special mention to Grace for volunteering to direct the pageant.
00:19But this year, the Herdmans changed everything.
00:23Now.
00:24The Herdmans are absolutely the worst kids in the history of the world.
00:32Hey!
00:37Give it up, Charlie!
00:40You ready for this?
00:41You're gonna be in your Bible play.
00:43This is gonna be a real disaster.
00:45That's the spirit.
00:47Would anyone like to volunteer for Mary and Joseph?
00:51Who's Mary?
00:52Baby Jesus' mom?
00:53Elmer, you usually like playing Joseph.
00:58Suppose that's that, then.
01:01The Herdmans shouldn't be here.
01:03They're a poor influence.
01:06It might be the first Christmas pageant in history where Joseph and the Wisemen get in a fight.
01:10Then Mary hightails it with the baby.
01:14Five bucks save they burn down the manger.
01:17Wow.
01:20This year, we get to be someone else.
01:23Live a different life.
01:24Become someone new.
01:28Why are they still here?
01:31Jesus was born for the Herdmans as much as he was for us.
01:35We'll be missing the whole point now if we turn them away.
01:41I'm not quite sure what's gonna happen.
01:43I'm not quite sure what's gonna happen.
01:46Maybe that's not a bad thing.
01:49Because Mary and Joseph weren't so sure either.
01:53She's crying.
01:55Mary's crying.
01:57It's going to be the best Christmas pageant ever.
02:08Shazam!
02:10Today we're going to ignore everything except blood.
02:12What? No, come on!
02:15Now that's a pageant I'd actually like to see.
