00:46Philippine immigration authorities arrest businessman Tony Yang, the elder brother of
00:49former President Rodrigo Duterte's economic advisor, Michael Yang.
00:54He was arrested carrying wads of cash worth 1.4 million pesos as he landed in Manila from
00:58Cagayan de Oro late Thursday night, September 19.
01:02The Philippine Anti-Organized Crime Commission had been investigating Tony Yang for possible
01:06ties with illegal Pogos in the country.
01:09Laguna representative Dan Fernandez claims Yang owns a building where a Pogo used to
01:13operate.
01:14He supposedly also owns a port in Cagayan de Oro, which might be involved in the drug
01:18trade.
01:19The middle sibling of the Yang brothers is Hong Zhang Yang, who has a joint bank account
01:24with one of the incorporators of Hongsheng Gaming Corporation.
01:27The Bamban Tarlac Pogo located in the compound owned by Baofu, which Alice Guo incorporated.
01:33Guo denies knowing any of the Yang brothers.
01:38A Pasig court has issued warrants of arrest against dismissed Bamban mayor Alice Guo for
01:42the non-bailable offense of qualified trafficking.
01:45Aside from Guo, arrest warrants were also issued for 15 others, including Wang Zhiyang,
01:50the alleged big boss of Pogos.
01:52Pasig City Judge Anilin Medes-Cabellis also ordered that Guo be transferred to the Pasig
01:57City Jail Female Dormitory.
01:59Guo is currently detained at the Police Custodial Center in Camp Krame.
02:03Guo is the incorporator of Baofu, which leased land to the Hongsheng Pogo, later named Zun
02:08Yuan.
02:09Guo allegedly played a material role in making sure that Hongsheng or Zun Yuan got to operate
02:14in her compound.
02:15Although she claims she had divested from Baofu, investigators say the divestment documents
02:20are fake.
02:21Guo's lawyer Stephen David says he will file a petition for bail, a recourse for defendants
02:26in non-bailable cases.
02:29A House Quad Committee orders Cassandra Ong to be sent to the Correctional Institute for
02:33Women in Mandaluyong for 30 days.
02:36Ong was detained at the House for contempt, but on Thursday, September 19, agitated lawmakers
02:40decided to commit her to the CIW starting September 26.
02:45The trigger, lawyer Ferdinand Topacio, said his client would rather be incorrectional
02:48than be humiliated by the committee.
02:50But Ong explains it was a statement she made to Topacio under stress.
02:54While there is no arrest warrant issued by a court for Ong, she faces criminal investigations
02:58for human trafficking and money laundering.
03:01Ong is an officer of the Whirlwind Real Estate firm that leased its compound to Lucky South
03:0599, a pogo rated over allegations of human trafficking and torture.
03:10Ong appears in many documents as the Lucky South representative, but the 24-year-old
03:14maintains she was merely a lesser.
03:18Former Senator Laila de Lima announces her return to politics as lead nominee of Mamamayang
03:22Liberal, a party list under the Liberal Party.
03:25Mamamayang Liberal will have two other LP stalwarts as nominees, former district representatives
03:30Teddy Bagilat and Erin Tanyada.
03:33A former Justice Secretary and human rights lawyer, de Lima is a fierce critic of the
03:36war on drugs of former President Rodrigo Duterte.
03:40She was detained for seven years and was released from detention in November 2023 and cleared
03:45of all charges in June 2024.

04:13There were three sightings of a crocodile since late August.
04:16DENR SOC Surgeon Executive Director Felix Alicer says they are referred to as ambush
04:21predators, they wait for their prey.
04:24Alicer says they were able to get drone footage of the crocodile, which looked to be three
04:27to four meters in length.
04:29The plan to capture the crocodile started with Rogelio Solis, the chairman of Barangay
04:33Buayan.
04:34He says he grew frustrated that their calls for help were ignored, adding it has already
04:38affected their livelihood.
04:40Alicer cautions the group, you're putting your lives in great danger.
04:43He also advises residents to stay cautious when near the water.
04:47Alicer says experts from Crocodilos Porosos Philippines, a reptile conservation group,
04:51will help determine the next course of action.
