00:00The Presidential Communications Office's fund for the next year has been approved for the deliverance of the camera.

00:08PCO Secretary Cesar Chavez confirmed that the fund will be used for the administration's strongest information campaign.

00:23Angelique, even though it's Friday, the plenary debates here in the Camera are still ongoing

00:29for the approval of the national fund for the next year.

00:33Earlier, the PCO approved the plenary deliberations.

00:39Just this morning, more than 2 billion pesos were approved for the next year

00:49by the Presidential Communications Office and its attached agencies.

00:53The PCO officials personally delivered the funds to the President, Secretary Cesar Chavez,

01:00who is also the head of the PTV Network General Manager, Toby Nebrida.

01:06House Appropriations Committee Vice Chair, Jill Bongalon, also served as the budget sponsor.

01:12On her behalf, D.E. Bongalon gave the importance of the approval of the agency's national fund

01:19in the name of the administration's communications programs.

01:23A few minutes later, the PCO budget proposal was approved, which was fully supported by the agency.

01:31In a statement, Acting Secretary Chavez thanked the Camera for its support of the PCO in the plenary.

01:39This full support of the Congress in their mission and service is considered a vote of confidence.

01:46Chavez promised that the agency will use each part of this fund effectively and in accordance with the law.

01:55The agency is responsible for crafting, formulating, developing, enhancing,

02:02and coordinating the messaging system of the Executive Branch and the Office of the President.

02:09For Fiscal Year 2025, the proposed new appropriations budget of the PCO

02:15and its attached agencies and corporations amount to 2.281 billion pesos.

02:24The proposed budget is 24.37% or P735.152 million lower compared to the Fiscal Year 2024 budget of P3.016 billion.

02:42Angelic, the plenary debates are still ongoing.

02:45Earlier, one of the agencies that also participated was DICT.

02:56is the one that will strengthen the service of the internet in the country.
