We are made of sea’.

00:00What is the role of the industry in the future?
00:04The nautical industry is one of the flowers in the eye of the Mediterranean,
00:08a diamond in our manufacturing sector,
00:11with numbers that have touched this year,
00:14also in real terms, that is, the net inflation,
00:17the highest ever in terms of turnover.
00:20We are above 7 billion euros in turnover.
00:25There are 4 billion euros in exports,
00:29and these are important figures,
00:32because the Italian shipyard exports
00:36allow us to dominate, especially in the maxi yacht segment,
00:40the world market, with almost half the market share.
00:44This means that Italy has reached extraordinary levels of excellence
00:48in this sector,
00:50and nautical is one of those many successful segments and products
00:54that have allowed Italy, in the first 7 months of this year,
00:57to even surpass Japan in exports.
01:00Japan is a country with a double population of the Italian one,
01:03which at one time was thought to be a colossus of the industry,
01:06with large groups, great technologies.
01:08Well, Italy, in the first 7 months of this year,
01:11has surpassed Japan in exports,
01:13thanks to many successful sectors,
01:16not very large, but medium-sized,
01:18in which we are a world leader,
01:20such as that of nautical from the port.
