We visited The Four Leaf pub on West Street Lane in Sheffield city centre
Transcript
00:00Yes, we opened three weeks ago and the objective really is to create a differentiated Irish
00:19bar, so rather than having a cliched Irish pub which doesn't do food or cocktails or
00:24particularly great drinks, the object is to create a bar that would exist if it was to
00:29open now in Dublin. This is the sort of thing you'd open, so it's differentiated because
00:33we've got high quality cocktails, really good quality food menu which is both traditional
00:38Irish items that you'd expect and also a broad based menu that's of general appeal. We've
00:44got nine foot American pool tables, lots of party areas which cater for small groups,
00:51families, friends as well as corporate parties and we've got the only place in Yorkshire
00:57currently that hosts the Irish Rings which is a conventional Irish game of hoopla and
01:03all the games are free to play which is again I think a unique selling point. But what we'd
01:08like to think is we've created, and the feedback's been very good, I think we've created a very
01:14good quality food, drink and entertainment offering. We do live music seven nights a
01:19week and it's been accepted well by the public so far and I'd like to think that what we've
01:27done is to create ourselves a good place which has got an Irish soul so you know you're always
01:32going to get the party whenever you're in here whether it be four of you or 144 of you.
