00:21YouTuber and gamer Valkyrae recently visited the sets of the upcoming big-screen treatment
00:25for Minecraft to film a cameo, and came away with a few unflattering stories about Momoa.
00:31During a Hot Ones-inspired Q&A session with streamer Jason LeWine, Valkyrae was asked
00:36about her worst celebrity or streamer experience, and her response was a huge surprise.
00:41"...I would have to say Jason Momoa."
00:44"...Really?
00:45Aquaman?"
00:47She described the moment happening in the aftermath of an emotional scene, and suggested
00:51that he might have still been a little bit in character, or at least in that mindset.
00:55But from Valkyrae's perspective, he appeared to be taking it out on the crew.
00:59"...I just saw him, like, mistreat some of the crew, and it was pretty disappointing."
01:07According to Valkyrae, the crew had failed to set the next scene up to the actor's specific
01:12liking.
01:13She added,
01:14"...He was just angry, really mad, and yelling.
01:16I was like, this is not a good working environment.
01:19I would not be happy working under these conditions."
01:22No other sources have spoken up to back up Valkyrae's claims about Momoa's behavior on
01:26the set of a Minecraft movie so far.
01:28However, this isn't the first time someone has spoken out about Momoa in a negative light,
01:33and flattering reports about the actor's behavior during filming of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
01:38started circulating in 2023.
01:41Variety reported that Momoa and his co-star Amber Heard quarreled on the set of Aquaman
01:46citing notes that were taken during Heard's therapy sessions with Dr. Dawn Hughes, a marauder's
01:51hearsay in the Heard-Johnny Depp defamation suit.
01:54Fans paid court fees to have these documents released, later posting them on Reddit, and
01:59they didn't paint Momoa in a flattering light.
02:02In the notes, Heard told Hughes that Momoa was trying to get her fired from the movie
02:06and showed up drunk or late to the film's set.
02:09One of the ways he allegedly tried to annoy her was by showing up dressed as Captain Jack
02:13Sparrow.
02:14One of the notes read,
02:15"'Jason' said he wanted me fired.
02:17"'Jason' drunk, late on set, dressing like Johnny.
02:21Has all the rings too.'"
02:22However, an insider contacted by Variety denied these claims, and DC Films later issued a
02:31statement to Variety, saying,
02:33"'Jason Momoa conducted himself in a professional manner at all times on the set of Aquaman
02:37and the Lost Kingdom.'"
02:39With the DC Extended Universe about to be completely rebooted, it's unlikely that we'll
02:43ever know for sure what went down on the set of the Aquaman sequel.
02:47As for the allegations about a Minecraft movie, well, responses to Valkyrae's assertions have
02:52been mixed.
02:54Since she was apparently only on the set for a brief period to film her cameo, some people
02:58have suggested that she just happened to catch a bad day at the office, as one person put
03:02it.
03:03Others sided with the streamer and said that there are no excuses for treating a film crew
03:07poorly, regardless of the circumstances.
03:10Still, others have questioned the very existence of an emotional scene in the film.
