00:00Alright, let's think through Alberta, Canada. I know you did this story previously. You
00:06have an update here on this one. They're looking for some more legalization, commercial legalization,
00:12open sports betting in Alberta. I know you have an update on this, so let's get to it.
00:16Yeah, so I mean, Alberta, Canada, of course, legalized single event sports wagering back
00:21in 2021. Ontario legalized their commercial or opened their commercial market in April
00:282022. They're the only province thus far that have an open market. Otherwise, all the
00:34other provinces are just through the provincial lotteries. Alberta, we know, is coming. You
00:40know, we've had the red tape reduction minister, Dave Nally, say it's coming. He talked a lot
00:45at the Canadian Gaming Summit earlier this year that it's coming and talking about how
00:48they're modeling it on Ontario. It's not just sports betting, it's also online casino. It's
00:54going to be a pretty ripe market for new operators. So as we're talking about no new
00:58markets down here in the US, Canada certainly is getting the quickest one off the market.
01:04And that's what we're hearing from some sources. It might be November, it might be by the end
01:09of the year that it launches up there in Alberta. So that's a big kind of push for the sports
01:15betting industry, online casino industry at the moment because, you know, again, the industry
01:20has slowed in terms of growth, because there's no new markets coming on. Well, here's a new
01:25market. And so yeah, I mean, we've had a lot of during the last earnings season, we had
01:31a lot of operators up there talk about how excited they are, the score, Penn Entertainment's
01:35the score, North Star Gaming, a few others. So it is a market that people are really excited
01:44about. And that's partially because it's a very high earning province. And also we
01:50hear from people at the Canadian Gaming Summit that people in Alberta like to bet. And that's
01:56exemplified by the Edmonton Oilers 50-50 raffles that reach into the eight figures sometimes,
02:03which is pretty crazy to think about. And honestly, that's one of the news nuggets we
02:08have in Alberta recently is as we're looking at opening the market, the provincial lottery
02:15play play Alberta has purchased the jersey sponsorship of the Oilers. And there's some
02:22humorous articles out there from up there that that people are a little worried about
02:28that jersey sponsorship and say it looks a little goofy and what have you go look at
02:32those if you want a little giggle. But Alberta's coming. That's more than you can say about
02:37any states at the moment in the US. But again, as I said at the top of the hit, Missouri
02:43polling shows 52% were less than two months from seeing Missouri voters at the polls deciding
02:49whether or not legalized sports betting is coming to Missouri.
