00:00Donald Trump left office with the lowest approval rating of any president ever.
00:05But some people now seem to be suffering from amnesia.
00:09Let me jog your memory.
00:10Here are the 10 worst things about the Trump presidency, in no particular order.
00:16Number one.
00:17Trump fueled division and sparked a record uptick in hate crimes.
00:22Number two.
00:23Murder went way up under Trump.
00:25He presided over the largest-ever single-year increase in homicides in 2020.
00:30Now, a number of factors might have contributed to that, but a big one is…
00:34Number three.
00:36Gun sales broke records under Trump, who has bragged about how he did nothing
00:42to restrict guns as president.
00:44In spite of…
00:45Number four.
00:46Under Trump, America suffered more than 1,700 mass shootings.
00:53Number five.
00:54He said there were very fine people among the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville.
00:59Jews will not replace us!
01:03I'm halfway to ten.
01:04If you think I'm missing something big, just leave it in the comments.
01:08Number six.
01:09Trump allied himself with the Proud Boys, a violent hate group who helped to orchestrate
01:14the January 6 Capitol attack.
01:17Proud Boys, stand back and stand by.
01:21Number seven.
01:22Trump's not wrong when he says…
01:24I got rid of Roe v. Wade.
01:26It's entirely because of Trump's judicial appointments that one in three American women
01:32of childbearing age now lives in states with abortion bans.
01:37Number eight.
01:38One of Trump's Supreme Court justices was Brett Kavanaugh, a man accused of sexual assault
01:44by multiple women.
01:46Number nine.
01:47Trump's White House interfered in the FBI's investigation of Brett Kavanaugh's alleged
01:52sexual assaults.
01:54And now, number ten.
01:56Trump has been convicted of committing 34 felonies while in office.
02:01The criminally false business filings he got convicted for in New York, all of them were
02:06committed while he was president.
02:08I'm sorry, did I say the 10 worst things about the Trump presidency?
02:12No, I meant 15.
02:15Number eleven.
02:16Trump's failed pandemic response is estimated to have led to hundreds of thousands of needless
02:23deaths.
02:24By the time Trump left office, roughly 3,000 Americans were dying of COVID every day.
02:30That's a 9-11-scale mass casualty event every single day.
02:36How did Trump screw up so badly?
02:38Number twelve.
02:39Trump's White House discarded the pandemic response playbook that had been assembled
02:45by the Obama administration.
02:48Number thirteen.
02:50Trump disbanded the National Security Council's pandemic response team.
02:55Number fourteen.
02:57Trump repeatedly lied about the danger of COVID, saying it was no worse than the flu
03:03or it would go away on its own.
03:05Because of all we've done, the risk to the American people remains very low.
03:10A lot of people think that goes away in April with the heat.
03:13It's going to disappear.
03:14One day, it's like a miracle, it will disappear.
03:17But behind closed doors, Trump admitted he knew COVID was deadly.
03:21This is deadly stuff.
03:23Number fifteen.
03:24Trump promoted fake COVID cures like hydroxychloroquine and even injecting people with disinfectants.
03:32Injection inside or almost a cleaning.
03:37After Trump's disinfectant remarks, poison control centers received a spike in emergency
03:42calls.
03:43That's fifteen things.
03:45Should I keep going?
03:47Okay, I'll keep going.
03:49The twenty worst things about the Trump presidency.
03:52Number sixteen.
03:53Trump presided over a net loss of 2.9 million American jobs, the worst recorded jobs numbers
04:00of any president in U.S. history.
04:03Number seventeen.
04:04Trump profited off the presidency, making an estimated $160 million dollars from foreign
04:10countries while he was president.
04:13Number eighteen.
04:14Trump also billed the Secret Service over a million dollars for the privilege of staying
04:19at his golf clubs and other Trump properties while they protected him.
04:24That's your money.
04:26Number nineteen.
04:28Trump caused the longest government shutdown in U.S. history when he didn't get funding
04:33for his border wall, which he said Mexico was going to pay for.
04:37I'm not going to pay for that wall.
04:40Number twenty.
04:41Under Trump, the national debt increased by about 40 percent more than in any other four-year
04:48presidential term, largely because of his tax cuts for the rich and big corporations.
04:54You didn't really think I was stopping at twenty, did you?
04:57We're going to twenty-five.
04:58Number twenty-one.
05:00Trump separated more than 5,000 children from their parents at the border, with no plan
05:06to ever reunite them, putting babies in cages.
05:10Mommy!
05:14Number twenty-two.
05:15The Muslim ban.
05:16Yes, Trump really did try to ban Muslims from entering the country.
05:23Number twenty-three.
05:25Trump sparked international outrage by moving the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem
05:30while closing the U.S.-Palestine office.
05:34Number twenty-four.
05:35Trump tasked his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, with drafting a potential Middle East peace
05:41plan with zero Palestinian input.
05:45Number twenty-five.
05:46And finally, Trump recognized Israel's occupation of the Golan Heights, which is considered
05:52illegal under international law.
05:54So there you have it, folks.
05:56The twenty-five worst...
05:57Wait a minute.
05:58Wait a minute.
05:59Wait a minute.
06:00Did I mention the impeachments?
06:01We've got to do the impeachments.
06:03OK, let's go to thirty.
06:05Number twenty-six.
06:06Trump broke the law by trying to withhold nearly $400 million of U.S. aid for Ukraine
06:13in an effort to extort a personal political favor from Ukraine's President Zelensky.
06:19Trump wanted Zelensky to interfere in the 2020 election by announcing an investigation
06:25into the Bidens.
06:26Delaying this aid to Ukraine weakened Ukraine and strengthened Russia.
06:32Number twenty-seven.
06:33Trump personally attacked and ruined the careers of everyone who stood in the way of
06:38his illegal Ukraine scheme, including Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch and Lieutenant Colonel Alexander
06:45Vindman.
06:47Number twenty-eight.
06:48To cover up the scheme, Trump ordered the White House and State Department to defy congressional
06:54subpoenas.
06:55We're fighting all the subpoenas.
06:56Number twenty-nine.
06:57For these reasons, on December 18, 2019, Trump became the third U.S. president to be impeached.
07:05He was charged with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
07:09Number thirty.
07:10Even while he was being investigated for trying to get Ukraine to interfere in the U.S. election,
07:16Trump publicly called for China to interfere in the election.
07:19China should start an investigation into the Bidens.
07:24So those are the thirty-
07:26What about the other impeachments and trying to end American democracy?
07:29Hmm.
07:30There was also a pandemic in Bloomberg.
07:33OK, I'll go to thirty-five.
07:35Number thirty-one.
07:36Long before Election Day, Trump started making false claims that the election would be rigged.
07:43It will be a rigged election.
07:45Number thirty-two.
07:46After losing, Trump falsely claimed the election was stolen, even though his own inner circle,
07:52including his campaign manager, White House lawyers, and his own Justice Department and
07:58Attorney General, told him it was not.
08:00The claims of fraud were bulls**t.
08:03Number thirty-three.
08:04Trump kept telling his big lie even after more than 60 legal challenges to the election
08:10were struck down in court, many by Trump-appointed judges.
08:14Number thirty-four.
08:15Trump ordered the Department of Justice to falsely claim that the election was corrupt.
08:22Number thirty-five.
08:24Trump and his allies used threats to pressure state leaders in Arizona and Georgia to falsify
08:30the election results.
08:33We may go to forty.
08:34Is that OK?
08:36Forty?
08:37Number thirty-six.
08:38When none of the previous schemes worked, Trump and his allies produced fake electoral
08:43votes cast by fake electors in multiple swing states.
08:47We're electors.
08:48We're electors.
08:49We're in the electoral process.
08:51The electors are already here.
08:52They've been checked in.
08:53Trump's former White House chief of staff and Rudy Giuliani are among the many members
08:58of his inner circle who have been criminally indicted for this scheme.
09:03Number thirty-seven.
09:05Trump tried to bully Vice President Pence into obstructing the certification of the
09:09election.
09:10If Mike Pence does the right thing, we win the election.
09:14Number thirty-eight.
09:15Trump invited a mob to the Capitol on January 6 with his, quote, be there, we'll be wild
09:23tweet.
09:26Number thirty-nine.
09:27Sworn testimony alleges that when Trump was warned that members of the crowd were carrying
09:32deadly weapons, he ordered security metal detectors to be taken down.
09:38Number forty.
09:39Knowing the crowd had deadly weapons, he ordered them to go to the Capitol and fight like hell
09:46Number forty-one.
09:47Yes, yes.
09:48I know.
09:49I know.
09:50I know.
09:51Bear with me.
09:52I've got to go on.
09:53Trump betrayed his oath to defend the nation by doing nothing to stop the January 6th violence.
09:57Instead, according to witness testimony, he sat and watched TV for hours.
10:03Number forty-two.
10:04On January 13th, 2021, Trump became the only president ever to be impeached twice.
10:11This time, he was charged with incitement of insurrection.
10:15It was a bipartisan vote.
10:17Number forty-three.
10:18The majority of senators, 57 out of 100, voted to convict Trump, including seven Republican
10:26senators.
10:27So that's the two impeachments and the big lie.
10:30But wait, wait, wait.
10:32We haven't dealt with Russia, right?
10:34We're going to 50.
10:35All right?
10:36We're going to 50.
10:37Number forty-four.
10:38Trump publicly sided with Putin over the U.S. intelligence community in denying Russia's
10:43interference in the 2016 election.
10:46Number forty-five.
10:47In a likely obstruction of justice, Trump pressured then-FBI Director James Comey to
10:53stop the FBI's investigation into Trump's national security adviser, Michael Flynn.
10:59This was documented in the Mueller report.
11:02Number forty-six.
11:03When Comey didn't bend to Trump's will, Trump fired him.
11:07Number forty-seven.
11:08Trump tried to shut down the Mueller investigation by ordering White House Counsel Don McGahn
11:14to fire Mueller.
11:16McGahn refused because that would be criminal obstruction of justice.
11:20Number forty-eight.
11:21Trump ordered his staff not to turn over emails showing Don Jr. had set up a meeting at Trump
11:27Tower before the 2016 election with representatives of the Russian government.
11:33Number forty-nine.
11:34Trump convinced Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about Trump's plans to build a Trump Tower
11:40in Moscow.
11:41And Cohen served prison time for lying to Congress.
11:44Number fifty.
11:46Trump was not charged for criminal obstruction of justice because it's the Justice Department's
11:50policy not to indict a sitting president.
11:54But more than a thousand former federal prosecutors who served under both Republicans and Democrats
12:01signed a letter declaring there was more than enough evidence to prosecute Trump.
12:08So those are the 50 worst things about the Trump presidency.
12:12Now I could go on.
12:14And I will.
12:15The 75 worst things about the Trump presidency.
12:18Number fifty-one.
12:19Trump said he'd hire only the best people.
12:22The best people.
12:23The best.
12:24Best.
12:25Best.
12:26Best people in the world.
12:27But his campaign chair was convicted of multiple crimes.
12:28So was one of his closest associates.
12:31His deputy campaign chair pleaded guilty to crimes.
12:35So did his personal lawyer, his national security adviser, the chief financial officer of his
12:39business campaign, a campaign foreign policy adviser, and one of his campaign fundraisers.
12:45They all committed crimes.
12:47And Trump pardoned most of them.
12:50Number fifty-two.
12:51Trump said he drained a swamp in Washington, D.C.
12:56But he appointed more billionaires, CEOs, and Wall Street moguls to his administration
13:00than any administration in history.
13:03Number fifty-three.
13:04Trump intervened to get his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, top-secret clearance after he was
13:10denied over concerns about foreign influence.
13:15Number fifty-four.
13:16Trump hosted a Russian foreign minister in the Oval Office where Trump revealed top-secret
13:22intelligence.
13:24Oh!
13:25And Trump's economic policies.
13:27Number fifty-five.
13:28Trump promised that the average American family would see a $4,000 pay raise because of his
13:34tax cuts for the wealthy and big corporations.
13:36Well how did that work out?
13:37Did you get a $4,000 raise?
13:40Of course not.
13:41Nobody did.
13:42Number fifty-six.
13:43Trump vowed to protect American jobs.
13:45But offshoring increased and manufacturing fell.
13:51Number fifty-seven.
13:52Trump said he would fix America's infrastructure, but it never happened.
13:57He announced so many failed infrastructure weeks, they became a running joke.
14:02Since it's Infrastructure Week.
14:04Is it Infrastructure Week?
14:06Number fifty-eight.
14:07Trump said he would be the voice of American workers.
14:11I am your voice!
14:14But he filled the National Labor Relations Board with anti-union flax, who made it harder
14:19for workers to unionize.
14:21Number fifty-nine.
14:22Trump's Labor Department made it easier for bosses to get out of paying workers overtime,
14:28which cheated eight million workers of extra pay.
14:32Number sixty.
14:33Trump repeatedly suggested he might serve more than two terms in violation of the Constitution,
14:40and continues to do so.
14:42We may have to go for an extra term.
14:45Number sixty-one.
14:46Trump called Haiti and African nations sh**hole countries.
14:52Number sixty-two.
14:53Trump tried to terminate DACA, which protects immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.
14:58Luckily, this was struck down by the courts.
15:01Number sixty-three.
15:03Trump called climate change a hoax.
15:07Number sixty-four.
15:08Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement.
15:12Number sixty-five.
15:14Trump rolled back more than 100 environmental protections.
15:19Number sixty-six.
15:20Every budget Trump proposed included cuts to Social Security and Medicare.
15:26Number sixty-seven.
15:27Trump tried and failed to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which would have resulted in 20
15:36million Americans losing insurance and striking down the ACA's protections for the roughly
15:43130 million people with pre-existing conditions could have driven up their insurance premiums
15:48or led to a loss of coverage.
15:51Number sixty-eight.
15:52Trump made it easier for employers to remove birth control coverage from insurance plans.
15:59Number sixty-nine.
16:00By the end of Trump's term, the number of people lacking health insurance had risen
16:05by three million.
16:10Number seventy.
16:11Trump lied.
16:12Constantly.
16:13He made 30,573 false or misleading claims while president, an average of 21 a day, according
16:22to the Washington Post fact-checkers.
16:25Number seventy-one.
16:26Trump allegedly took hundreds of classified documents on his way out of the White House,
16:31reportedly including nuclear secrets, which he then left unsecured in various parts of
16:36Mar-a-Lago, including a bathroom.
16:39He was even caught on tape showing them off to people.
16:52Number seventy-two.
16:53Trump seriously discussed the idea of nuking a hurricane.
16:58Number seventy-three.
17:00When Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, Trump delayed $20 billion of aid and allowed Puerto
17:06Rico to be without power.
17:08For 181 days.
17:10Number seventy-four.
17:11Trump suggested withholding federal aid for California wildfire recovery and said the
17:17solution was to clean the floors of the forest.
17:24Number seventy-five.
17:26Trump pulled out of the Iran deal, placing Iran on a path to developing nuclear weapons.
17:32Honestly, there's so much more from exchanging love letters with North Korea's brutal dictator
17:37We fell in love.
17:38to publicly denigrating a Gold Star military widow and making her cry, to the way he attacked
17:44journalists, to late-night tweet binges.
17:47Look, I can understand why a lot of people want to block all of this out of their memories,
17:52but we cannot afford to forget just how terrible Trump's time at the White House was for this
17:59nation.
18:01And we sure as hell can't afford to put him back there.
