00:00Earth to Loom! Celebrating natural dyes in Philippine textiles is the theme of this year's 14th Likhang Habi Market Fair.
00:09The aim of this event is to support the weaving communities in the country, particularly those in remote areas.
00:16Aside from the market fair, where vendors from Luzon, Visayas, and Bindanao, including Cordillera, Zamboanga,
00:24Ilocos, Soksarjen, Negros, Bangsamoro, and other distant provinces will showcase their products.
00:31A weaving competition will also be held.
00:34Participants will include weavers from Maklan, South Cotabato, Kalinga, and others.
00:40The three-day market fair is set to take place at the Glorieta Activity Center, Makati, from October 18 to 20 this year.
00:49We want to help the small grassroots weavers.
00:52So what Habi is doing this year is we started this Support a Weaver, where we help them with plane tickets, their housing, we even sourced it for them.
01:05But don't get me wrong, we're still promoting entrepreneurship.
01:08We want them to learn how to engage and then become a better entrepreneur.
