Blazers blast to 4-0 after toppling Altas

The College of Saint Benilde school the young University of Perpetual Help System DALTA squad via 78-51 blowout to take its fourth-straight victory in the NCAA 100 men's basketball tournament at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024. This is Benilde's best start in the NCAA under the helm of coach Charles Tiu (4-0), while Perpetual fell to a 2-2 win-loss card. For the head coach, having no 'star player' in their team is something that he takes positively, with their scattered offense resulting in a four-game winning streak.

00:00Positively, because I think now we have a lot more options.
00:03Last year, I think everybody knew we're going to meet Corteza, to Will, to Roby, Oksol.
00:10We're more limited now.
00:11Any game, anybody, Justin, Dino, Diwag, our point guards all can score.
00:17So I think we have a lot more weapons.
00:19It's good for us.
00:20I think any one of the guys I mentioned when we need baskets or we need them to take over,
00:24they can do that.
00:26So that's a good sign for us.
