00:00I saw you at the Disney Emmys after party last night.
00:03You saw me at the Disney Emmys after party. I was there, slightly different look, but I didn't stay too late.
00:08I just, you know, I had a few snacks, a sensible beverage, and then I went to bed relatively early.
00:14Well, here we are now celebrating Agatha all along.
00:17There were so many titles for this show as it was being made.
00:20Why do you think this is the perfect title for the series?
00:23Well, I think that obviously it was inspired from Catherine's performance in WandaVision,
00:28and that song is so iconic.
00:30And we were all in the dark about it.
00:32I mean, we thought the name was something else. We didn't know that there was this gag going on.
00:35So, I mean, she's our mother, you know what I mean?
00:39She's the den mother, so it makes sense.
00:42There are so many musical elements in this show.
00:44What was it like bringing the musical scenes to life?
00:47I mean, it's really an honor because Bobby and Kristen Lopez are geniuses,
00:50and I didn't know there was any music in the show when I auditioned.
00:53And then suddenly, you know, we're getting some sheet music,
00:56and we're rehearsing in a recording studio, and it was really exciting.
01:01And it kind of brought me back to my high school musical theater days.
01:04So it had been a minute, but I dusted off those chops,
01:08and hopefully you'll see it in the show.
01:11Patti LuPone is, of course, a musical theater legend.
01:14What was it like working with her on this?
01:16I mean, it's a dream come true.
01:17If you told me that I was going to be messing around with Patti LuPone
01:20when I was like a little theater nerd, I wouldn't have believed you.
01:22So she is worth the price of admission.
01:25And, I mean, she just delivers.
01:28I think I could watch Patti be Patti all day long.
01:31How did you channel your inner witch while making this show?
01:35I did do some pretty woo-woo things.
01:37I had a ritual every morning.
01:39I pulled a tarot card every morning.
01:41We all had a little altar in our trailers.
01:45You know, some donated things, some purchased things,
01:49some crystal work, you know.
01:52I had a little spell book that I definitely bought that,
01:56and I thought this is going to help me get into the vibe.
01:58But I think I only did maybe two spells.
02:02I'm still waiting for them to work.
02:05Given how much you leaned into the spooky vibe,
02:07did anything actually spooky happen on set where you're like,
02:10wait a minute, what's going on here?
02:13You know what, the only thing, I wouldn't call it spooky,
02:15but the first time that we sang the song as a coven together,
02:20there was something actually kind of magical in the room.
02:24There was a, like, I don't know, there was a shift in the energy
02:27in a way that I can't describe.
02:28So that actually felt like we cast a spell,
02:30that we were actually creating the spooky, which was cool.
02:33What is it like being a part of the Marvel Universe?
02:35I mean, it feels surreal. I can't believe it.
02:38It's really fun, and to get to do it like this
02:41with these women and Joe feels like,
02:45I mean, I still keep thinking, like, do I get to keep this job?
02:49Like, am I really going to get to do this?
02:51Yeah, it's really like being a kid again.
