00:00Criminals in uniform, they're walking everywhere.
00:03Just because they do not have the articulate jargon, language to express it
00:08doesn't mean they don't know what's going on.
00:10They took his life and they didn't even want to go to his family
00:12and locked themselves in the police station.
00:13They shut it and they can't even tell the family.
00:15The function of police is to control the have-nots in a society
00:19and they do that very well.
00:20You get stopped, you get stopped, you get stopped.
00:22It's death by a hundred attempts.
00:23They're here to authorise what you can and cannot do
00:26and that's all they're about.
00:28For me, there was humanity in that
00:29and there was love in the response of the people when they got to the police car.
00:31Our whole position in this planet is based on immorality.
00:38Those people you give nothing to believe in
00:41aren't blind to the example that you've set.
00:43All that warmongering and beaving.
00:45Many of the young people who were, you know,
00:48sort of arrested during the presidential election
00:50have come into adulthood with war as a norm.
00:54This is criminality, pure and simple
00:57and it has to be confronted and defeated.
01:00How many of you voted for the illegal war in Iraq?
01:03You know, how many of you voted for us to bring humanitarian bombs to Libya?
01:07Freedom, you know, that's probably the most powerful,
01:10most precious thing someone could take from someone.
01:12Freedom.
01:13Deep down, people know that prisons are an awful and wrong place.
01:18Usually they impeach and they attack each other
01:21but that day they exploded at the things that they feel oppressed by.
01:25The political structure we live within this country
01:27is what you could consider an authoritarian regime.
01:30Next time when we're going to riot, rush the bankers, take back from them,
01:33go into Comet and what and just smash up the television, take down the media.
01:38The person who's got nothing to lose is probably
01:40the most dangerous person in the world
01:42and you don't need 10 of them, you just need one.
01:45I want to hear your story, Fahimullah.
01:47You were wrongly convicted of rioting.
01:49You spent six weeks in jail.
01:51When the people came out in the streets,
01:53they showed that they were fully engaged with politics.
01:56I think you can't link the riots to that.
01:58Most of the riots you've been in.
01:59We are fed up of hearing elite white men speaking up for the people.
02:06It's like a fire, it starts, it sparkles and then it just blows, you know.
