Chirin, a newborn lamb, and his mother live a peaceful life in a meadow. As long as they stay inside the fence that protects them and the rest of the flock, they are free to frolic and graze on the delicious clover leaves. However, their idyllic life is shattered when a wolf named Wor attacks them in the dead of night, killing Chirin's mother. Struggling to process his mother's death, Chirin swears to become a wolf himself in order to avenge his mother, unaware of what this transformation would cost him.

02:32When we are young, we don't know a lot of things. But the small amount of knowledge we do possess makes us happy.
02:50Knowing our home, our friends, how to get places, and maybe how to get back.
02:57The world is a strange new place, a great puzzle. Sights, sounds, and smells are its pieces.
03:07We see things we know nothing about, things that surprise us and sometimes sadden us.
03:14But as we explore and grow, the time comes when we learn. We learn about the world, and we grow older.
03:26Oh, hey!
03:33Wow! Here I come! Hi, everybody!
03:40I'm coming through!
03:46Hey, I'm flying!
03:57Huh?
04:10Oh!
04:22Oh!
04:27Huh?
04:31Oh, well.
04:36Our young friend's name is Chirin. He has more energy than all the other lambs in the pasture put together.
04:45He wears a ringing bell around his neck, and although Chirin likes the sound, it is there to help his mother find him if he gets lost.
04:54Or falls when he doesn't watch where he's going.
05:05Mama!
05:09Hello, Chirin.
05:11Did you see my somersault?
05:13It was very good.
05:16And...
05:19Chirin, listen to me. I don't want you playing outside the fence.
05:24Huh? Why not?
05:26Chirin, the world can be a dangerous place. If we stay behind the fence, we'll be safe.
05:33You see that mountain?
05:35Uh-huh.
05:36That's where the Wolf King lives, and his favorite food is baby lamb.
05:40Oh, yuck!
05:41Yuck?
05:42What would he want to eat lamb for? Clover tastes much better.
05:46And if he ever comes around, I'll tell him that.
05:49You'll do no such thing. I don't want you ever to go near him.
05:53Well, he doesn't scare me.
05:58I love clover.
06:01Are you listening?
06:02Yum, yum.
06:04I don't ever want you going outside that fence.
06:07I'd love it, I'd love it, I'd love it.
06:09Boo!
06:12Come on, let's play!
06:14Hey, wait up!

25:07did not give up he followed the wolf though it meant day after day of constant travel
25:16sometimes he saw things that reminded him of his home but he went on
25:28through the forest
25:32through the meadows
25:45huh
25:48huh
25:57no
26:00stop no
26:09oh
26:23they're broken all of them I smashed her eggs
26:30why did it happen
26:34why
26:41why do the weak have to die
26:44it isn't fair
26:49for some to live others must die
26:53that is the law of nature
26:55from the moment of birth life is one endless struggle and only the strong can survive
27:03but then what can I do I don't have fangs like a wolf so how can I even fight
27:09I can't do anything to protect myself
27:13not a thing
27:16do you want to become a wolf
27:18I couldn't stand it
27:23they all just sat there in the pasture too scared to go past the fence too scared to do anything
27:30I don't want to be killed I want to be strong
27:39cry and let the anger up is the only way that you're going to grow fangs
27:45what's that grow fangs
27:47yes life deals out few things besides pain but from that pain you'll grow sharp strong fangs
27:55though they may not be the kind you can see
27:58then I can do it wow
28:01if I grow fangs nothing can stop me from being as strong as you are
28:07then I will teach you how to live the life of a wolf
28:11but it won't be easy pipsqueak
28:14for the world I live in is a hell where death is always close by
28:19you need stamina determination and the will to survive
28:24I don't care how much it takes this is what I want to do I know I can
28:29you'll see I'll become stronger than a wolf someday I'll defeat even you
28:35you'll see
28:37I will someday I will defeat you
28:57and so it came to pass
28:59Shirin became pupil and the wolf his teacher
30:00oh
30:10knocking over trees is one thing to win but remember I am a moving target
30:16the wolf was right
30:18Shirin's task was not easy
30:21in order to be strong like the wolf
30:24he had to fight every day
30:28he learned every tactic
30:30every means possible to win
30:33because in the end
30:35that was all that mattered
30:38and when Shirin learned that
30:41he'd taken the first step in becoming a wolf
30:48a day never passed that Shirin didn't suffer from the pain of his lessons
30:54at times he thought he was going to die
30:59but he didn't
31:14are you ready
31:16here I come now
31:18look out world
31:20I'm the one
31:22I'll be tall
31:24like a tree
31:26there's a new spirit born inside of me
31:31I'll be fearless
31:33I'll be strong
31:35I know life is hard and long
31:38don't give up
31:40or you lose
31:42it's the strong life that I choose
31:47we will travel
31:49wolf and ram
31:51we'll ravage all the land
31:54getting strong now
31:56won't be long now
31:58till I'm the strongest one of all
32:01I am Shirin
32:03I am Shirin
32:05I am Shirin
32:21I am Shirin
32:51I am Shirin
32:53I am Shirin
32:55I am Shirin
32:57I am Shirin
33:22two years have now passed
33:25Shirin has changed from a determined lamb
33:29into a fearsome beast
33:32so then wolf
33:33I am no longer a weakling sheep
33:35instead of fangs I have horns which are just as sharp
33:39my hooves are harder than the rock
33:41and it has become my nature to fight without fear of death
33:45I am proud of you Shirin
33:47you are a fine warrior
33:49even I could not turn you aside
33:51I owe it all to you
33:53my goal was to overcome you
33:55the only thing I wanted was strength
33:57so I could strike down the enemy who had killed my mother
34:01you can't imagine the times I looked for the chance to kill you
34:05but somehow I could never find one
34:07I could never make myself do it
34:13living on this mountain has changed the way I think about life
34:17and about you
34:18for now I think of you as a father
34:21and if the world you live in is a hell
34:24then I'm willing to live there with you
34:29look out there
34:30the forest, the mountains and plains
34:33it's there for us
34:35all of it
34:49and so Shirin and the wolf became a team with a reputation
34:53for ruthless killing known throughout the land
34:56they were unstoppable
34:58charging their prey with insane recklessness
35:01the wolf
35:17the place of your birth
35:19your home
35:21home?
35:23home?
35:24the only home I have are the plains where I hunt my prey
35:29tonight we'll make the attack
35:31will you be able to go through with it?
35:33of course I will
35:35a number of German shepherds protect the barn
35:38they'll try to stop us from getting in
35:41you'll have to kill all of them
35:43then we'll go in and kill the sheep
35:52the winds change direction

38:49no
39:01you have learned well
39:04to turn out like this is the fate of every wolf
39:08I always knew it would be like this
39:12that I would die in some field at the hands of someone stronger
39:18but I'm glad that the one who did it was you, old churren

40:35churren tried to tell the frightened sheep that he had once lived with them in the meadow
40:41but nobody believed him
40:43the creature they saw before them was not one of their kind
40:47churren was neither wolf nor sheep
40:50he was an animal which caused only fear and terror
40:58he wouldn't find a home again with the sheep of his childhood
41:03and without the wolf
41:05churren realized he had no home at all

42:56and because of that
42:58I was the one to cause your death
43:01but I'm still alive
43:03where do I go now?
43:06wolf!
43:14wolf!
43:17wolf!
43:35the snow fell for days without letting up
43:38covering the ground with a smooth white blanket
43:42whatever happened on that mountain
43:44whatever happened in the meadow
43:46was covered up without a trace
43:48to remind those who had witnessed it
43:51and later
43:53some claimed to have remembered Shirin as a lamb
43:57others said he was a spirit from the mountain
44:00but they were too wrapped up with their own lives
44:03to worry about it for long
44:06and one night
44:08during a terrible blizzard
44:10the gentle sound of a bell was heard
44:14but the sheep in the meadow never saw Shirin again
44:29Shirin come, come and play
44:34and chase all the clouds away
44:39little one, on the run
