00:00A change in wind direction this weekend from a cold northerly to a milder southwesterly
00:05airflow so it will feel warmer than it has done recently. There will be plenty of sunshine too
00:10to greet many parts of England and Wales on Saturday morning. Meanwhile across Scotland
00:15and Northern Ireland it will be somewhat cloudier with some patchy outbreaks of rain
00:19and it stays that way through the afternoon but later across the northwest of Scotland
00:23and Northern Ireland there will be heavier rain and stronger winds. In the sunshine it
00:28will feel pleasantly mild. Temperatures will generally be around average for the time of year
00:32for many parts of the UK. Into the night and that rain band across the northwest of the UK will
00:38slide southeastwards over Scotland, Northern Ireland and to the north and west of England
00:42and Wales by dawn. Then through Sunday the rain continues its way further southwards across much
00:48of Wales, the Midlands, Central and Eastern England becoming mostly light and patchy. The
00:52far south of England will stay mostly fine and bright. Meanwhile across Scotland and Northern
00:57Ireland Sunday will be a sunny day but there will be the risk of showers particularly
01:01across the northwest where they could be heavy and thundery.
