00:00Harrow Balmoral takes on Naradua Kwantong on Saturday, September 14th in the HGNFL Grand Final.
00:05And I went out to Harrow to catch up with Southern Roos coach Joe Thompson about how his side is preparing for the decider.
00:12So first off mate, obviously you've made your second Grand Final in as many years mate. How's it feel? How's the team feeling at the moment?
00:19Yeah, pretty excited. Most teams only get a Grand Final week. We were lucky enough to get two weeks.
00:26So I think we've obviously earned the right through how we've played and we'll enjoy the next couple of weeks.
00:33There'll be a fair bit of running and stuff going into this week and then we'll really relax into next week and enjoy that experience.
00:40It doesn't happen all the time so make sure you make the most of it.
00:44Naradua Kwantong seem to have stepped things up since you last played them. How do you feel about taking them on?
00:49I think sometimes all you need is a bit of a kick in the butt to get your season going and get you back on track.
00:55We're a young team as well and some really good young talent. When the team's playing with momentum, you look at Hawthorne for example and what they're doing in the AFL.
01:03When a young team's got momentum, they're playing with energy and a bit of enjoyment and fun.
01:07That can be a hard team to stop so we've just got to make sure we're prepared to use our experience at that level.
01:14These two weeks that we've got are super important. They're going to come off the back of three games.
01:19We've played one so trying to use that rest, not have the bash and crash, fresh bodies, hopefully that's going to hold us in good stead to be able to combat them.
