Harry Kane enjoys a 'proud night' against Finland after scoring a double on his 100th England appearance
Transcript
00:00No, it was almost a perfect night. As a striker, of course, on my 100th cap I wanted to score
00:08a goal and make the night as memorable as possible and to win the game as well. So to
00:12score a couple of good goals, a couple of nice finishes and help the team win 2-0 was
00:16pretty much perfect. So a proud night for me and the family and now we can enjoy it.
00:19Do you want a hat trick?
00:20I had enough shots to get the hat trick, but Lee spoke about managing some minutes with
00:27a lot of games coming up. So, of course, I'd love to have stayed on, but no hard feelings
00:32for that.
00:33To be honest, I don't think I would have been thinking of 100 caps when I was on loan at
00:36Millwall and Leicester, Norwich. At that time it was just about trying to get back into
00:40the Spurs team, use the experience I got to play in the Premier League. I mean, I've always
00:44had a good self-belief that I'm able to play at any level, but I've learned a lot over
00:50the years from those times to Maurizio when he was at Spurs, to all the eras at Spurs
00:55and now at Bayern Munich, I feel like the game's evolving a little bit, managers are
00:58a little bit different in how they approach the game. So that's just great for me to be
01:02able to keep learning. So I would have for sure been proud if I knew I was going to reach
01:06100 caps, but like I always say, hopefully 101 and 102 in October and a couple more goals
01:15as well.
