00:00The Selangor Wildlife Protection and National Parks Department, Perhilitan, has confirmed
00:07that the Section 7 lake in Shah Alam is safe, with no further sightings of crocodiles in
00:12the area.
00:14According to Selangor Perhilitan Director Wan Muhammad Adib Wan Muhammad Yusof, thorough
00:19monitoring using night-vision drones and surveillance revealed no other reptiles after the capture
00:25of a saltwater crocodile on September 5.
00:28The 1.68-metre crocodile was quarantined, confirmed to be disease-free, and later released
00:35into the Paya Indah wetlands in Denkil.
00:38Although no investigation was opened, Wan Muhammad Adib noted the possibility that the
00:43crocodile had entered the lake either by being swept in during a flood or through the irresponsible
00:49actions of an individual who released it.
