Using the Tunisian crochet is one of my favorite ways to create a circle. It creates a lovely design and best part is you don’t have to do all that counting! I love using this circle for making coasters and placemats.
________________________
The Tunisian circle is made by crocheting a series of short and long rows around the stitches on the magic ring, which are then seamed together.

ADJUSTING SIZE:
- The size of the circle can be adjusted by adding adding stitches to the long and short rows.
If your circle doesn’t lay flat you may need to add or remove some sc sts from the ring, which will increase/decrease number of long+short rows (short rows should be half the length of the long rows)

- Number of long+short rows, at the end, will be determined by the number of single crochet stitches you add to the magic ring in the beginning. The total should be: 2 times the number of stitches in the ring, plus 2.
example: if you start with 8 single crochet stitches, the final row count will be 18 long and 18 short ( 2 x 8 + 2 = 18 )
