01:06state.
01:07The Biafra armed group claimed through their social media handle that the Tuesday attack
01:12on the Oba Police Divisional Headquarters and the Oba Civic Center were carried out
01:17by the Biafra resistance fighters.
01:19The armed group had in large numbers attacked the Oba Police Divisional Headquarters and
01:24also the Oba Civic Center, killing a police corporal and injuring others.
01:30And the whereabouts of inmates in the police cells are still unknown.
01:35Spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochiko Ikenga, has said the attack was
01:41carried out by secessionist armed group.
01:45During the Oba attack, buildings including vehicles, motorcycles and tricycles were totally
01:51razed by the armed group.
01:53Also on Tuesday night, the Biafra armed group attacked the Isiola-Ambano Local Government
01:59Area Headquarters of Imo State, killing two local vigilante members who were guarding
02:04the premises.
02:05The armed group who attacked the local government headquarters on Tuesday night also set several
02:11vehicles parked at the council headquarters on fire.
02:15According to witnesses, the armed group arrived at the secretariat around 8.30 p.m., opening
02:22fire indiscriminately and killing the two vigilante members on duty.
02:27They then set part of the council building ablaze.
02:30One witness as reported by Sahara reporters said, two security personnel at the Isiola-Ambano
02:36council headquarters were killed.
02:39The attackers also torched a significant portion of the building and several vehicles.
02:45Many others sustained injuries and fled the scene.
02:48The attack has raised a heightened fear in Ubuilemae, the local government headquarters,
02:53as residents have sought refuge in nearby villages.
02:57Again same Tuesday night and early morning night on Wednesday, armed group attacked the
03:02Obawa Divisional Police Headquarters, killing a police officer.
03:07It was gathered that the armed group first struck at Nepa Junction in Ubulogo community
03:12on Tuesday night, when they targeted a specific police officer at his residence.
03:18After identifying him, they killed him and set his belongings on fire before fleeing.
03:25In the early hours of Wed, the armed group returned and set the Obawa Divisional Police
03:30Headquarters in Utoko community ablaze.
03:33A local source reported that the attack on Tuesday night involved heavy gunfire that
03:38lasted for about 30 minutes, coinciding with an attack on the Isiola-Ambano council headquarters.
03:45The same source noted that a police officer was pulled from his home and killed at Nepa
03:50Junction, while a male student from the College of Nursing Sciences Ubulogo was injured by
03:56a stray bullet.
03:58Other victims have yet to be identified.
04:00The source further explained that the first attack occurred between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.,
04:06with gunmen targeting a specific policeman living in the area.
04:11They killed him, destroyed his belongings, and injured a student nurse, who was rushed
04:17to the hospital and survived.
04:20Police and soldiers later arrived to retrieve the officer's body.
04:24Around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, the gunmen returned and attacked the Utoko Police Divisional
04:30Headquarters, firing for approximately 30 minutes.
04:34The extent of casualties in this second attack is still unknown as fear has prevented anyone
04:40from approaching the bombed facility.
04:43Confirming the incidents, the police public relations officer in the state, Henry Okoye,
04:49said the command has deployed tactical teams to apprehend those responsible for this crime,
04:56according to Sahara Reporter's news network.
04:59Claiming responsibility for the attacks, the Biafra Resistance Fighters tweeted thus,
