00:00Let's dive into some Bachelor stuff.
00:02What was your reaction watching Jen's finale?
00:06Obviously you feel for her, but what was Devin doing?
00:09What was this laughing?
00:10He was just...
00:12Tell me, tell me something.
00:14I have no tolerance for men who act like that,
00:17who don't even give just an ounce of empathy or respect.
00:21Granted, I don't have full context and know everything
00:25in regards to their relationship,
00:27and honestly, how that entire finale played out,
00:30again, I feel so sorry for Jen,
00:34and I just hope that she takes this time now to heal from that,
00:37because that's traumatizing.
00:40I had a great ending, and my season was still traumatizing,
00:43but the way that was played out was just wrong.
00:47And for Devin, as someone who we saw profess his love
00:52on national television every single week,
00:55and having these little moments where I felt,
00:58even just from my therapeutic lens,
01:00of, okay, there might be a little bit of gaslighting,
01:03a little manipulation here,
01:05but you try not to fully insert yourself
01:08because you don't really know,
01:10but then that showed it all in that finale.
01:12How he sat on that couch, this girl was crying her eyes out.
01:15I'm just like, there's not an ounce of comfort.
01:18There's no empathy at all.
01:20So that was really hard for me,
01:22especially knowing that, for me, in my past,
01:24dealing with people who had similar characteristics as that,
01:27that was scary.
01:29It was so bizarre that he didn't even try to be sorry.
01:31Like, he didn't even fake it.
01:33At that point, I'm like, is it ego? Is it pride?
01:36Like, what is it? What's going on?
01:38No way.
01:40No, because, not to make everybody think about me,
01:43but when I watched that,
01:46now, I didn't get a finale, obviously, with Paradise,
01:49because the world wouldn't be able to handle it.
01:52But, unfortunately,
01:55I experienced something almost identical to that,
01:58so it was emotional for my family and I to watch,
02:01almost like I felt like it was me
02:04saying what I've wanted to say on a public platform
02:07because that same exact experience happened to me,
02:10broken up over the phone out of nowhere,
02:12how to watch our engagement
02:15and be so confused,
02:18like we had broken up maybe two weeks before the engagement aired,
02:21and I think that was kind of where they were at with their timeline, too,
02:24and it just shows that men that are so unwilling
02:27to take the time to understand themselves
02:30and their emotion comes off so unempathetic
02:33to the other partner, whether it's intentional or not,
02:36do the work, so that way you're not hurting people.
02:39Both of you guys have lived enough experience
02:42to have done the work, I would hope so,
02:45but they've just chosen not to, so it's a choice at the end of the day,
02:48which makes me infuriated for her.
02:51I don't think that she should have experienced that so publicly.
02:54I was grateful enough to experience it privately,
02:57but if I was on a public platform like the way she was,
03:00I would have been experiencing the same thing.
03:03So I'm happy that she stood in her power and told him how she felt.
03:06Clearly a lot of it was coming from a state of emotion,
03:09but a lot of men in this franchise
03:13have done very similar things.
03:16They don't know what they want.
03:19They talk out of their, you know, whatever.
03:22Behind.
03:25It's at the expense of someone else's feelings.
03:28So I always said, I'm done being your collateral damage,
03:31as she should be, too.
03:34But it's what we sign up for.
03:37It's a risk that we take, but the last thing you expect is the person...
03:40I'm like, it's not a risk I want to take.
03:43No, you took a risk with 30 men.
03:46Praise God.
03:49It's a risk you take, too.
03:52It is, and even on Paradise, everything is a risk.
03:55But, gosh, it's just getting worse and worse, I feel like,
03:58the men's emotional availability.
04:01They just need to know themselves before they put themselves in that position
04:04because they're going to keep hurting others.
