00:00The former warden of the Bureau of Corrections, Chief Senior Superintendent Gerardo Padilla has joined the House Quad Committee hearing today.

00:11He is still involved in the case of Omanoy, which was passed by three Chinese drug lords in 2016.

00:18Noel Talacay was at the center of the news live.

00:22Angelique, today the House Quad Committee hearing is being held here in the House of Representatives.

00:31This is their fourth hearing.

00:35It started at 10 a.m. and they first discussed the issue of extrajudicial killings.

00:42Extrajudicial killings are related to war on illegal drugs.

00:49In the last administration, the House Quad Committee first discussed the issue of extrajudicial killings.

00:56Chief Senior Superintendent Gerardo Padilla, former warden of Davao Penal Pharma, was the first to join as a resource speaker.

01:06Three Chinese drug lords were killed in 2016.

01:12Angelique also attended the first hearing of the former president.

01:18She is now the second district representative, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

01:23She reminded the members of the committee that

01:27we should not give the same importance to personal knowledge or personal evidence.

01:37Before the session began, Representative Dan Fernandez,

01:44Chairperson of the House Committee on Public Order and Safety,

01:48and Representative Robert Ace Barbers,

01:51Chairperson of the House Committee on Dangerous Drugs,

01:54are members of the House Quad Committee.

01:57Here are some of their remarks.

02:01We cannot ignore the events that took place in the last administration.

02:06We continue to feel them in the present time.

02:10Let us promise that everything we do in this committee,

02:16from then until now,

02:18and to investigate the various personalities whose evidence and events have a negative political connotation.

02:49We are committed to fulfilling our duty to the Filipino people

02:53by seeking justice and preserving the integrity of our government institutions.
