00:00Hello, good afternoon. There's quite a lot of cloud around for most of us and a few showers as well
00:04But there will be some sunshine as we head into this afternoon
00:08Particularly across a sliver of the country as we're between weather fronts see the satellite picture from this morning
00:14we've got low pressure centered up to the north of the UK and a
00:18Frontal band moving into the northwest as well as moving away from the southeast
00:22but it's between these fronts where we do have a sliver of sunshine starting to develop I'll push it into parts of
00:28Northern England and Wales through this afternoon, but either side of that a risk of showers
00:33They could turn quite heavy and it's still quite humid actually across the south and east elsewhere
00:39Though a much fresher feel from the north and west particularly where we've got a fairly brisk breeze across
00:44Northwestern areas, however in any sunshine
00:47It won't feel too bad highs of around 20 degrees for some areas of Wales and northern England
00:5323 where we're slightly more humid in the south and east closer to the mid-teens further north and west now these showers across the south
01:00And east should move out the way and that fresher air will push into southeastern areas overnight tonight
01:05showers though pushing into parts of Wales northern England
01:08Southwest that could be quite heavy actually for a time and further showers will likely push into Northern Ireland in particular as well as southern
01:15areas of Scotland
01:16So some showers around but for most of us a dry night and clear skies will develop quite widely across northern areas
01:23Temperatures could be down as low as two or three degrees across some rural areas of Scotland in particular
01:29So actually a pretty chilly night one of the chilliest colder nights
01:32We've had since spring here across the south and east though a cooler night than last night, but not particularly cool
01:38So a fairly cloudy start to the day still some sunshine around though, particularly across the north and west
01:43But that sunshine will allow a few showers to get going as we head towards lunchtime and into the afternoon
01:49And there's also a risk of showers developing particularly across the south and east and any of these showers could be quite heavy
01:54They bring a risk of thunder and hail as well
01:57There will be some sunshine between the showers particularly across central areas parts of Wales the southwest the winds are quite light
02:04So in any sunshine it won't feel too bad
02:06But temperatures are still a little below average for the time of year
02:10As we head into Wednesday evening this area's showers across the south and east will start to
02:15Become much bigger bringing a risk of some quite heavy rain through Wednesday evening across southern areas elsewhere though across the north
02:23It will turn dry and that's because high pressures building into more northern areas
02:27Whilst low pressure will start to dominate across the far south
02:30There's a weather warning in force through the early hours of Thursday morning as well
02:34So there could be some trouble on the roads through a rush hour on Thursday morning
