00:00Ladies and gentlemen, in two of the most important provinces of Pakistan, the situation is tense at this time.
00:05There are increasing incidents of terrorism in KPK and Balochistan.
00:08This is due to the fact that there is an aim of terrorism at this time,
00:12to which Mohsin Naqvi Sahib is pointing out that the SCO conference is not allowed.
00:17He is also pointing out that there are some countries and some evidences
00:22which cannot be denied in any way.
00:25If we extrapolate ourselves,
00:27then the situation goes towards India and Afghanistan.
00:30It should be kept in mind that at this time,
00:32the increasing incidents of terrorism in Balochistan and KPK
00:38have certainly shaken the whole country at one time
00:42and has also become a target of politics at this time.
00:45Because we saw this discussion happening in the Senate even today.
00:48The day before yesterday, the Prime Minister of Pakistan went to Quetta.
00:52He held a formal meeting of the Apex Committee.
00:55And in that meeting, he made it very clear that
00:58not to talk to terrorists, but to talk about the law of Pakistan.
01:04Even today, Mr. Shabaz Sharif said that the kind of environment that was created on the 26th,
01:10that was not normal.
01:12To discuss this topic with us, Mr. Muhammad Ali is present.
01:15He is an expert in national security issues.
01:17Thank you very much for joining us, Ali. It's a pleasure having you.
01:19Mr. Ali, first of all, tell us that Balochistan and KPK have become very sensitive matters.
01:23The Interior Minister has also added this to the SCO meeting
01:26that they basically don't want to hold a conference.
01:28The rest of the countries have a problem.
01:30Terrorism is increasing. It is becoming difficult for a common Pakistani.
01:33First of all, the economic conditions are bad here.
01:35Along with this, how are we going to tackle it?
01:37Terrorism needs three types of support.
01:41One, they need weapons.
01:44One, they need financial support.
01:47And the most important thing is that they need social and political support.
01:53So, I think that the political leadership of all the parties should understand the sensitivity of this.
02:02If we want to end terrorism, then our intelligence agencies and our defence forces are doing a great job.
02:10But if we want to end terrorism, then along with financial support,
02:17the organizations that are creating a social atmosphere for the Baloch Jihadi Council,
02:26or the political elements that are demanding political and national security for their own personal benefit,
02:33I think they should understand the importance and demands of national security.
02:38And they should object to the terrorists who expect political support.
02:45Yes, they should understand this.
02:47But in KPK, the government of Pakistan, they would be understanding, I assume.
02:52But the problem here is that there are two perspectives.
02:55One says, like the Prime Minister said, like the Interior Minister said,
02:59that those who will follow the Pakistani constitution, that is fine.
03:02Those who will not follow the constitution, then the same attitude will be followed,
03:05which should be followed with terrorism.
03:07PTI says that for everything, you have to come to the table.
03:09You have to come to the table and talk.
03:10Do you think that a conversation can take us to a point where the terrorists say,
03:16okay, the conversation was very good, I will take up arms.
03:18Look, a conversation can happen with someone who respects the Pakistani constitution and law.
03:25The constitution of Pakistan means that the condition of Shirk, Shariah,
03:30is unconditional and total sovereignty and loyalty to the state.
03:37This constitution has two layers.
03:40All the fundamental freedoms and rights that a citizen has,
03:45instead of this promise that he will be loyal to the state of Pakistan,
03:51if he follows that, if he respects that,
03:55whether he attacks the GHQ, whether he kills innocent workers and teachers,
04:00or does any anti-state activity,
04:03and holds hands with the law and the constitution,
04:07and commits violence,
04:09and then it is expected from them that with criminals,
04:12who have been convicted of violating the constitution and law,
04:16negotiations will be held with them.
04:18If you cannot talk to a criminal, then how can you talk to a terrorist?
04:22Terrorists can also talk to criminals.
04:24Look, there is an attack on the GHQ,
04:26that such people come who keep a beard,
04:28and maybe they wear Peshawari slippers and speak Pashto,
04:33then you will have a different attitude from them.
04:35And if you are wearing jeans, you are wearing joggers,
04:38and you speak English, and you have a liberal worldview,
04:41then the judiciary will look at the actual action.
04:44It will not punish you by looking at your style, your statement, your clothes.
04:50Okay, fine.
04:51Interestingly, today is the International Day of Forced Disappearance,
04:55and a big issue of forced disappearance is raised in our country,
04:58and on some sides, there will be an actual issue,
05:01that a terrorist has been given, or someone is really in jail,
05:04and no one knows.
05:05But some forced disappearances are named,
05:08the names of missing persons are given.
05:10I would like to keep some data in front of you.
05:12There are some such people, some such individuals,
05:14who are said to be missing persons.
05:16Listen to where these missing persons come from.
05:19The person who attacked himself at the FC camp in Bela,
05:22was included in the list of missing persons.
05:24The terrorist organization BLA,
05:26had filed a case by naming Tayyab Baloch as a missing person,
05:29that Tayyab Baloch and Ilyas Lala were residing in Noshki.
05:32A terrorist who was involved in the attack at the Gwadar Port Authority Complex,
05:36Kareem Jaan was also included in the list of missing persons.
05:39Kareem Jaan was residing in Turbat,
05:41and he was killed in the attack at Gwadar.
05:44Then there is one more, Imtiaz Ahmed, son of Raza Muhammad,
05:48he was also included in the list of missing persons.
05:51He was killed in the security forces' investigation.
05:54It was found out that he was also involved with terrorists.
05:57Abdul Wadood was missing since 12th August 2021,
06:01and he was also included in the list of missing persons.
06:04He was also killed in the attack, while doing terrorist activity.
06:08Now Ali Mahmood sir, the problem is that,
06:11on one hand, there are missing persons, genuine missing persons,
06:15their case is ruined by terrorism.
06:17What should be done about this?
06:19There are three types of missing persons.
06:21One is the reality.
06:22The first thing is that this is a global problem.
06:24Pakistan is not specific.
06:25You know that lakhs of people are missing in countries like Britain.
06:28I actually have the list.
06:29Lakhs of people are missing in Britain.
06:31In UK, 2,41,000.
06:32Yes, exactly.
06:33In Suriname, 21,000.
06:35And more than 3,00,000 are missing in India.
06:37In India, 3,50,000.
06:38So, the thing is that there is a method to the madness, Anika.
06:41There are four stages.
06:42This is a great and amazing wisdom.
06:44The first thing is that a student organization is made up of foreign funding,
06:48there is no sensitivity in it,
06:51and a mentality is created against the state.
06:54And then the next stage is that the student graduates
06:58and joins a terrorist organization properly.
07:01He goes to another country,
07:03there he gets training in a terrorist camp.
07:05And here a third front is made up.
07:07A joint council is formed, an NGO is formed,
07:09which tells that, look, this is a missing person,
07:12so that the state is increased in its embassy and political and legal pressure.
07:15This is its third stage.
07:17Then it happens fast forward, as you said,
07:19that he is involved in a terrorist act.
07:21And when our forces destroy him,
07:25then it is found that he was put in a missing person.
07:28And the state was being blamed for this.
07:30This was a terrorist act.
07:32So, I think this is the whole wisdom,
07:35which has one aspect, which is the consensus.
07:38How to curtail and curb it at the same point,
07:42where there is a consensus.
07:44Like in Balochistan, in many places,
07:46even in universities, there is such a consensus.
07:48There is brainwashing.
07:50How to curb it there?
07:52Because our young people, educated young people,
07:54if they get involved in terrorism,
07:56then their future is ruined.
07:58Look, the biggest thing is that stage.
08:00It is also a matter of our family.
08:02It is also a matter of our schools.
08:04It is also a matter of the state.
08:06It is also a matter of the media.
08:08If they keep the thoughts of our young generation positive,
08:12give them opportunity, give them hope,
08:15give them trust and confidence in Pakistan.
08:17If a boy from Balochistan,
08:19can become the elected president of Oxford University's Student Union.
08:23If a boy from Balochistan,
08:26can become the Chief Justice one day.
08:28If a person from Balochistan,
08:31can become the Commander-in-Chief of Pakistan's Armed Forces in the war of 1965.
08:35If two people from Balochistan,
08:37can become the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
08:39Then this is proof,
08:41that the Baloch brothers and sisters,
08:43have achieved all the achievements,
08:45that any other citizen has achieved.
08:47But the narrative that has been made,
08:49we have to defeat it with hope,
08:51commitment and engagement.
08:53The political prong is very important in this.
08:55Absolutely.
08:57Syed Mohammad Ali Sahib, thank you very much for joining me in the program.
