00:00In other news, the Department of Justice wants to answer the lawyer of Ms. Bantadlac Mayor Alice Guo.

00:06According to Justice Undersecretary Nicholas T.,

00:08the lawyer of Guo said several times that her client is still in the Philippines even though she is no longer there.

00:15In our interview here in Balitang Hali with Atty. Stephen David last August 20,

00:20he said that he was just holding on to what Guo said to him.

00:24Atty. David insisted that he did not lie.

00:28The DOJ also wants to answer the notary on Guo's counter-affidavit, Atty. Elmer Galicia.

00:34The notary is due on August 14, when Guo is no longer in the Philippines.

00:39In the Senate hearing this Tuesday, Atty. Galicia admitted that she did not verify well

00:45the acquaintance of Alice Guo in her office.

00:49Because Guo's counter-affidavit is considered falsified or fake,

00:53the DOJ said that it may not be accepted by their panel of prosecutors.

00:57It is possible that the panel will resolve the complaint of qualified human trafficking against Guo

01:03based on the evidence submitted by the government.
