Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democratic congresswoman, recently endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election. During a National Guard event in Detroit, Gabbard emphasized her concerns about the Biden administration’s foreign policy, claiming that it is pushing the U.S. towards multiple wars and potential nuclear conflict. She praised Trump for his diplomatic approach and stressed the importance of peace and civil liberties. Gabbard left the Democratic Party in 2022, criticizing it as an "elitist cabal"(

00:00And today, I'm honored to officially welcome another true American patriot, a 17-year veteran
00:06of the Hawaii Army National Guard, a four-term Democrat congresswoman, very, very popular,
00:14the former vice chair of the National Democratic Party, and a 2020 Democrat candidate for the
00:21United States presidency. You know, she was a very good candidate. Every time she ran,
00:29she was good. She did well. She decided to leave. She couldn't take it anymore. But she's
00:35very special. And I didn't know this, but she was a lieutenant colonel. That's not bad.
00:40Lieutenant colonel. Not bad. I didn't know that. You know, I just found out. I said,
00:46put it down. You got to put that down. That's bigger. That's better than all the other stuff
00:51I read. But now she's a special person. She's got great common sense, great spirit. She loves our
00:57country, and she loves the people in this room. Tulsi Gabbard. Tulsi, please.
01:20Thank you. Thank you, Mr. President.
01:24Aloha. I know we got Hawaii in the house here. There we go. It is a privilege to be here with
01:33all of you, my brothers and sisters in uniform, especially on this day of all days. I had the
01:40privilege of joining President Trump this morning at Arlington Cemetery, where he joined two Gold
01:49Star families and loved ones of Staff Sergeant Hoover and Sergeant Gee, both of whom were two
01:57of the 13 killed in the Abbey Gate attack three years ago today in Kabul. And I can tell you,
02:07as we were there, as he laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier,
02:11joining these Marines' loved ones, I felt the sorrow that he shared with them in their loss.
02:21I felt and saw his sincere appreciation for these servicemen and women who paid the ultimate price
02:31and their loved ones who continue to grieve to this day.
02:35This is personal for me, as I know it is for so many of you here. This is real. It's not just
02:41words. I first deployed to Iraq in 2005 with the Hawaii Army National Guard as a member of Charlie
02:50Med. As those of you who were deployed during that time know, it was at the height of the war,
02:57and sadly, we took many casualties. And every day we were confronted with that high human cost of
03:04war and that sadness as we boarded the plane when we left that we were leaving some of our brothers
03:09and sisters in the United States. And I know that this is not the end of the story. I know that
03:16it was at the height of the war that we boarded the plane when we left that we were leaving some
03:20of our brothers and sisters behind, only to lose others when we got home to suicide.
03:30So I mean what I say when I share with you that I know that President Trump understands the grave
03:36responsibility that a president and commander-in-chief bears for every single one of our
03:42airmen, a marine, sailor, or a coastie. He keeps us in his heart in the decisions that he makes.
03:49We saw this through his first term in the presidency, when he not only didn't start
03:54any new wars, he took action to de-escalate and prevent wars. He exercised the courage that we
04:02expect from our commander-in-chief in exhausting all measures of diplomacy, having the courage to
04:08meet with adversaries, dictators, allies, and partners alike in the pursuit of peace,
04:17seeing war as a last resort. The truth is, as we head towards our decision as a country in November,
04:25the same cannot be said about Kamala Harris. In fact, the opposite is true, and we're living
04:32through this reality today as this administration has us facing multiple wars on multiple fronts in
04:39regions around the world, and closer to the brink of nuclear war than we ever have been before.
04:47This is one of the main reasons why I'm committed to doing all that I can
04:51to send President Trump back to the White House,
04:53where he can once again serve us as our commander-in-chief.
05:03Because I am confident that his first task will be to do the work to walk us back from the brink
05:11of war. We cannot be prosperous unless we are at peace, and we can't live free as long as we have
05:19a government that is retaliating against its political opponents and undermining our civil
05:24liberties, weaponizing our very institutions, and using them as a weapon against us.
05:32Against those they deem as a threat. Kamala Harris has done this over the last three and a half years.
05:40She won't hesitate to continue that if she is elected as president. President Trump has been
05:45their first and foremost target in this because they don't want us as voters to even have the
05:50option to vote for him. I've been their most recent target, added to a secret domestic terror
05:58watch list after exposing the truth about what kind of dangers we would face if Kamala Harris
06:04is elected as president. We as Americans must stand together to reject this anti-freedom
06:13culture of political retaliation and abuse of power. We can't allow our country to be destroyed
06:20by politicians who will put their own power ahead of the interests of the American people,
06:25our freedom, and our future.
06:36I am proud to stand here before you today, whether you're a Democrat, a Republican,
06:43or an Independent. If you love our country as I do, if you cherish peace and freedom as we do,
06:52I invite you to join me in doing all that we can to save our country and elect President Donald
06:58J. Trump and send him back to the White House to do the tough work of saving our country
07:05and serving the people. Thank you very much. Thank you very much, Mr. President.
07:21Well, thank you, Tulsi. I heard that might happen, but I wasn't sure. And it happened,
07:35because she's really an amazing person. So I look forward to working with
07:42Tulsi and everybody, everybody in this room, actually. And as Tulsi mentioned early this
07:47morning, Tulsi and I were at Arlington National Cemetery with the families of service members who
07:52lost their lives in the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan. Not that we withdrew, but the
07:59way they did it. We were going to do it with dignity and strength. We were in the process
08:06of getting out. We would have never given up Bagram, one of the biggest airbases in the world,
08:10one hour away from where China makes its nuclear weapons. We gave it up. We gave it.
08:15We gave them everything. China took it over. China now occupies it. Can you imagine? The
08:21longest, most powerful runways, I think eight feet of concrete down. And we gave it all up,
08:30spent billions and billions of dollars years ago building it one hour away.
08:36And we're gone. And now China occupies it.
